Getting There - MRT Central Park Station Attractions - Exit 1 of the station is an attraction by itself. one of the most beautiful mrt exit/entrance with lots of greenery and waterfall. A children magnet, the parks contains many facilities that will attract children such as playgrounds, slope for children to slide down using cardboards etc.. the lake is also a nice place to chill. Hotels - Hotel Indigo is directly opposite the park, take exit 2. There are a few other hotels in the vicinity Food & Restaurants - With Shinkuchan (Kaohsiung’s Ximending) just around, there are no shortage of things to eat or shop! #tripblazers

It is a very convenient place for travelers because you can easily visit it from anywhere in the city using the MRT. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get there by MRT from the airport. This park was created in 1976, and it is said that it was originally a military facility that was renovated into a green space for citizens. It is now an oasis in the city where Kaohsiung citizens and tourists can take a walk or enjoy a picnic!! 1. Wide, green space The first thing that caught my eye upon entering the park was the wide green space. It was amazing that there was such a large park in the city. There were lawns and benches everywhere, so it was nice to take a quick break. In the morning or evening, you could see local residents jogging or doing yoga~🏃♂️ 2. Central lake and walking path There is a small lake in the center of the park. The walking path around the lake was well-maintained, so it was perfect for walking. Especially in the afternoon, the sunlight sparkled and I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Just sitting on a bench by the lake and quietly looking at the scenery made me feel like my travel fatigue was gone. 3. Artistic sculptures Artistic sculptures and installation art pieces were displayed throughout the park, so it was attractive that you could enjoy culture and art together in nature. Among them, the most impressive one was the huge red sculpture, which made me feel like I was in a modern art museum.😆 Kaohsiung Central Park was a healing spot where you could enjoy nature in the city.
