Macau's time-honored "Chen Sheng Kee Seafood Restaurant" is recommended by Bib Gourmand
This is the food stall that a local Macau local took me to. Although it's a bit far in Coloane, I think it's worth it even if I have to spend more on a taxi. Founded in 1945, it's been on the TV show "A Bite of China" and has been recommended by the Bib Gourmand for consecutive years. It's a well-deserved reputation. Although it's a simple open-air food stall without air conditioning, the food is authentic and delicious, and you can overlook the sea across Zhuhai!
🌟 The restaurant has been passed down to the third generation since its opening. It is famous for its traditional Cantonese cuisine and seafood dishes. Several old banyan trees bear witness to the hotel's more than 70 years of history! Since the boss has close ties with fishermen, he can get fresh seafood every day😋
🌟When you walk into the store, you'll see a few ceiling fans, wooden tables and chairs covered with plastic molds, an open kitchen, and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. Flipping through the multi-page menu and the handwritten dishes on the wall, I really want to order everything:
✔️The signature secret tangerine peel duck is soft and tasty. It is said to take more than 10 hours to marinate, and it is more sentimental (because I still like crispy roast duck)
✔️Boiled chicken is a must! Salty, tender and juicy with a little bit of aspic, good with rice
✔️The spicy and garlic fried pork ribs and corn taste great
✔️I love the steamed razor clams with garlic sauce. The shellfish is chewy and the vermicelli absorbs the soup. Next time I will order more dishes cooked this way.
✔️Shrimp fried eggs, pineapple fried pork ribs, fried squid, Sichuan hot shrimp or conch are very fresh
📍 No. 21, Jidannu Street, Coloane, Macau, it may be faster to take a taxi😂
💰Each dish is about $60-90HKD, and a large dish or seafood is 100-200. If there are many people to share, 150 HKD per person is really a lot!
💯I didn’t expect that there are such restaurants in Macau. I have never been there and it amazed me. It feels like these are restaurants that locals would eat at and are open very late. It is a good place for gatherings or late-night snacks! I like to eat and walk along the high embankment, enjoy the sea breeze and see the sea. It is very romantic and highly recommended.
