Chandu Cultural Expo Park is located north of the Outer Ring North Road of Yi Yang New District, south of the extension of Luzhou Road, and west of Xiujiang River. It covers an area of about 3,200 acres and a construction area of about 560,000 square meters. The total investment of the project is about 650 million yuan. It is a comprehensive tourism project integrating cultural sightseeing and experience, leisure and vacation, and tourism real estate. Yichun is the origin of Buddhist monasteries founded by Mazu and the establishment of the Pure Rules by Baizhang. It is also the birthplace of three of the "one flower and five leaves" of Zen Buddhism (i.e., Linji, Caodong, and Weiyang). Since 2010, Yichun, known as China's "Zen Holy Land", has integrated the rich and diverse local Zen culture and strived to build a Zen Capital Cultural Expo Park that integrates Zen culture from all over the country. The construction of the Zen Expo Park is closely centered on the historical and cultural concept of "one flower blooms five leaves, and three leaves fall in Yichun", highlighting the local characteristics of Yichun as a "Buddhist monastery and Zen holy land", and has a profound cultural connotation. The park includes the Five-Leaf Empty Gate, Zen Heart Square, Five-Leaf Altar, Sculpture of Smiling with a Flower, Zen Story Sculpture Garden, Moon Invitation Lake, Zen Sheng Garden, Zen Tea Pavilion and other attractions. Entering the Zen Expo Park, the first thing that catches your eye is the Five-leaf Empty Gate, which symbolizes "one flower blooming five leaves". From the Empty Gate, the view extends to the north and south, fully demonstrating the "empty realm" of Zen. At the entrance, there are 7 huge granite lotus stone sculptures distributed in 2 lotus ponds, which means that when the Buddha Shakyamuni was born, "he took seven steps in a row, and lotuses grew with each step". The Five-leaf Altar is a four-story antique building. Walking into the gate is a 6-meter-high bronze sculpture of Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen. On the first floor, you can enjoy cultural relics and historical scriptures related to the 28 ancestors of Zen; on the second floor is the exhibition hall of famous teachers of the Five Hundred Miles Zen in Yichun; on the third floor is living Zen; and on the fourth floor is the management function area. The overall building is like a precious lotus lamp in front of the Buddha's seat, implying that the Zen Dharma will be passed on forever. Come to the Buddhist Concert Hall. The Buddhist music is simple and solemn, clear and smooth, and can be called the beautiful bloom of compassion and wisdom. Here, you can listen to the sound of ancient music and the sound of chanting Buddha, experience the artistic conception of Zen meditation, enjoy Zen life, and seek peace of mind.
