Changdeokgung Secret Garden course -guided tour is required ,ticket can be purchased from its official website with allocated time slot.It is notorious for its unassuming beauty! Entrance of 10,000won would grant you access to all parts of the palace including the secret garden. It was a little dampening that the fall weather is somethings gloomy so the secret garden in my photo doesnt looks as alluring but the rest of areas are stunning especially the glass house looking which is known as the Great Glass House.( Looking like the crystal palace) This is actually the country’s first Victorian style greenhouse. Outside the greenhouse courtyard features a labyrinth style garden of neatly trimmed boxwood, that is so beautiful The palace even though is smaller than gyeongbokgung it is still quite big imo that you require a few hours to fully immerse in it and walking the different areas! Many people must have been to Changdeokgung Palace, but this is the first time I have been to the Secret Garden. Book a Guided Tour (available in Chinese, English, and Japanese) in advance on the official website. The tour guide gave a vivid introduction to the secret garden and also specifically pointed out the Korean drama shooting spots. There was no lavender hanbok that I liked, so I chose sky blue, but the string broke, so I went around and around and got pink..🫠 ⠀ And the jeogori too.. Really.. #seoul I planned to visit Changdeokgung Palace early morning and I am happy I did. Early morning these sights are beautiful. Not yet crowded, you can admired it's architecture design and beautiful carvings. The pigeons on the ground were a plus. Lovely to them. I have spent a lot of hours here because I admired its intricate designs from the gates, to its roof tiles and to its buildings.

It's in a building next to the fire station There's this poster on the door on the first floor of the building (4th photo), but I don't think you'll know it just from that😅 I also included a photo of the view of Changdeokgung Palace during the day when I went there last December The seats with a good view of the night view were full at first, but luckily one became available so I was able to move It was on the opposite side of the seat with a view of Changdeokgung Palace, so directly below you can see the Western-style buildings of Unhyeongung Palace and Namsan Tower. At night, Changdeokgung Palace is dark and you can only see Donhwamun, so this side is recommended. It's reflected because it's through glass... #KoreaTourism February 2023. Sasa Cafe, a Korean-style house cafe located on Seosung-gil, a street along the stone wall west of the Jongmyo Shrine, near Changdeokgung Palace. I follow them on Instagram, and their photos are always so beautiful. I've passed by them a few times, but they've always been closed or crowded, so I've never been able to go at the right time. I was finally able to visit this time. It's a very beautiful shop, and its simplicity is beautiful. I sat on the second floor, looking at the Jongmyo Shrine. The set in this photo costs about 950 yen, but the bottle is not filled with alcohol, but with a slightly sparkling, cloudy sake-like drink with no alcohol... but maybe it's a little alcoholic?! A dessert of lightly baked warm rice cakes topped with starch syrup and kinako. According to what I heard when I learned how to make flower cakes from a master of traditional food culture, starch syrup is very time-consuming, and it's no wonder that it has such a refined sweetness.
