Stay at this hotel when you visit Shawan Ancient Town! It's not vulgar, has a Zen feel, and the food is good.
There are many people in Shawan Ancient Town. At first glance, it seems quite commercialized, and there are many girls taking travel photos everywhere. However, when you hear the old people gathering under the trees and chatting in Cantonese, you can feel that the local residents here are still living as usual.
This homestay is located near the south gate of Shawan Ancient Town and can be reached on foot from the bus station.
Although it is located on the main street of the ancient town, once you step into the homestay, it seems to have entered another world. The owner has built a spiritual environment with bamboo forests, courtyards, and ponds, which makes people feel calm.
The room is full of Zen. In this quiet environment, I opened my computer and started writing.
When night fell, I lit sandalwood and fell asleep peacefully.
There is a living room on each floor, where you can lie on the sofa and read or daze.
There is a bar, coffee shop and restaurant on the first floor. It provides nutritious Chinese breakfast in the morning, Western desserts and coffee in the afternoon, and you can have a drink of whiskey at night.
