🇺🇸New York Diary 06 The melting pot of exotic cuisines "Chelsea Market"
When traveling, you really need to go to the market or local supermarkets more often to see how locals really live! Chelsea market is a well-known tourist attraction in NY. It is a market converted from a slaughterhouse. It has a variety of exotic cuisines, department stores, bookstores, etc. There is a constant flow of local people. It is highly recommended 👍
🌟Maybe it’s because NY is a melting pot, in fact, what moved me the most was seeing cuisines from at least seven or eight countries🇲🇽🇹🇭🇮🇳🇨🇳🇦🇪🇸🇦🇧🇷🇮🇹🇯🇵, and it also provides a good place for foreigners working hard there to miss the taste of home!
🦪🦞Lobster Place Seafood Food Stall
You can order oysters, shrimps, scallops and crab legs one by one. There is a happy hour sale on oysters, a dozen of 12 for only $22, which is a good deal. The most popular thing is the whole lobster. A more affordable option is the $26 lobster burger (you'll think I'm crazy, how can that be affordable 😢) ~ but it's really delicious!
🌮Los Tacos
It’s a very popular store and even though it moves very quickly you still have to wait in line for 15-20 minutes. A taco costs between $4.25 and $5.25, which is a great price in expensive NY. The pork taco is highly recommended, as it is crispy and tasty. There is a hidden version with cactus flavor, but the reviews online are very polarized! There are two kinds of crusts for you to choose from, and each one comes with tamarindo, a drink made from sour beans. It's sweet and sour but acceptable!
🍝 Very Fresh Noodles
A popular Chinese noodle shop. I was very touched to be able to eat a bowl of steaming fennel and lamb soup noodles overseas. The sliced noodles were chewy and the lamb was tasty. The soup was rich and spicy.
💯There are also Miznon Middle Eastern Roujiamo, Michelin Thai food Ayada, Joey Bats egg tart, Fat Witch Bakery's brownies and Gelato ice cream. For a soul foodie like me, this place is too interesting. Travelers must come 😍
