[2025 Cheongju Attraction] Travel Guide for Cheongju Zoo (Updated Jun)

#koreatrip We visited on a weekend and entry costs were very minimal (1,000 won adults) which means it’s probably state subsidised which is a good thing. Large cats enclosures were a bit small, in my opinion, and could have had a more natural touch n increased size. There is a small refreshments area for drinks n snacks n the ever present n necessary souvenir shops. Do check the weather prior to visitation as one would need to walk the zoo as there are no trams or other transportation within its premises. With good weather it’ll be a nice quiet visit to stay in touch with nature and all its creatures as the landscaping is very nice, green n peaceful. Recommended to prep at least 2-3 hours to leisurely tour this little zoo.

#Zoo It's hard to walk because it's a hill, but it was nice to quietly watch the animals napping and wandering around from afar. #Zoo This is the best zoo for the price! There are many kinds of animals such as tigers, wolves, zebras, bears, and lions, and it was nice to be able to see them up close. I really liked how comfortable the animals all looked. I could feel that the veterinarian worked hard for the animals and the other zookeepers also took care of them. #Domestic travel Introducing Cheongju Zoo that even Cheongju people don't know about! Admission fee is only 1,000 won for adults! 🩶 A generous zoo admission fee, managed by Cheongju City :) You can meet various animals such as lions, tigers, sika deer, owls, flamingos, wolves, zebras, and otters It took about an hour for an adult to walk around alone! There are many hills, so I recommend a stroller for those with small children :) The parking lot is large, but there are more visitors,, so you have to fight fiercely for a parking spot! It's a great zoo to visit on a nice weekend!
