[Shinjo, Aichi Prefecture] I want to go this summer! Here is the hidden place in Aichi Prefecture!! 💓
This is truly a hidden place in Aichi Prefecture! Chiiwa Gorge in Shinshiro City 😳
The area is surrounded by mountains, making it truly a hidden place 🥺🥺💓
The river flowing through the mountains is so beautiful and moving 😉👒✨I also found a waterfall basin in the shape of a heart ♡
If you ever visit, please look for it 👀🌟
This is the path you take when trekking to Chiiwa 🙈
Chiiwa is a valley characterized by steep cliffs of white limestone and limestone caves ✌️
So you can enjoy not only playing in the river but also trekking 😘 Playing in the river after sweating from trekking is the best time 🌞❣️
Address 〒441-1601 Kawai Chiiwa, Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture
About 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Nagoya City 🚗
Public transportation is difficult to access, so I recommend visiting by car 🌟!

[Chiiwa Gorge] Just under 2 hours by car from Nagoya!
A 2 hour round trip hike
You can feel the negative ions and experience the best nature.
The view from the cave was beautiful
We started at 8am, but there were few people on a weekday morning, so it was comfortable 🌿
When you walk along the calm, clear stream, the water is incredibly clear
The water is cold and refreshing 💓

Secret Cave Vibes & Forest Feels
#springitinerary Chiiwa Gorge is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a hidden world. Tucked away in the mountains of Shinshiro (not Kyoto, don’t let Google confuse you), it’s a chill hike through forest trails, past clear streams, and up toward these crazy rock formations and caves. The name “Chiiwa” means “breast rock” because of these wild stalactites in a cave that literally look like... well, you get it.
The area has this peaceful, almost spiritual vibe, probably because there are little Buddhist statues tucked into the caves, and a natural stone gate called Tsūtenmon that’s super cool to walk through. It’s part workout, part nature therapy, with just enough quirk to keep things interesting.
Not too touristy, not too tough, just bring good shoes and a sense of adventure. Perfect for escaping the city and pretending you're in a Ghibli movie for a few hours.
