#August Good Places 2024 Last month, I went to Chikan Old Street in Zhanjiang for a fun weekend with my family. Zhanjiang Chikan Old Street is located in the Chikan District of Zhanjiang City. We first strolled through the street stalls in Chikan Old Street, where there are many traditional snacks and handicrafts, such as Zhanjiang fish balls, fried rice noodles, bamboo weaving and so on. We also tried the famous local snack – Zhanjiang Beef Soup. In addition to streetside stalls, the architecture and streets of Chikan Old Street are a highlight. The architectural style is ancient, with lots of traditional arcade buildings and blue brick and tile houses, the streets are narrow and there are not many pedestrians and cars, making it a great place for a quiet stroll. All in all, we had a great weekend in Chikan Old Street, Zhanjiang. With a lot of traditional flair and character, street stalls, architecture and streets are a highlight, it’s really a great place to stroll around and savor slowly. We went by taxi and it was probably a 20 minute drive from the hotel to Chikan Old Street. Nearby attractions include Zhanjiang Waterfront Park, Chikan Ancient Town, etc. You can arrange your trip together. Overall, Zhanjiang Chikan Old Street is a historic old town with many traditional charms and characteristics, street stalls, architecture and streets are a highlight.
