A seriously underestimated county town in Anhui, a two-day and one-night guide
I have been to Anhui countless times, but I didn't expect to discover this route with a 🏮New Year flavor recently~ 3 hours from Nanjing, two days and one night to take the kids out, take parents and family, taste Huizhou food, learn about Huizhou culture, and experience the misty Jiangnan. Follow the detailed itinerary:
Day 1: Drive to the B&B, take a short break after lunch, experience the Spring Festival activities in the secluded countryside B&B in the afternoon (writing blessing characters and pasting Spring Festival couplets, making dumplings🥟, making handmade dragon lanterns🏮, boiling tea around the stove, family portrait👨👩👧👦 check-in wall, etc.), and watch the fireworks in the valley🎆 at night.
Day 2: After breakfast, go to Taohuatan to see the poetic and picturesque Jiangnan in the morning mist, or visit the Xuan Paper Museum to learn about traditional Xuan paper craftsmanship. There are more check-in spots here than you can take a photo! At noon, we returned to the B&B to eat farm meals. After checking out, we went to nearby ancient villages such as Chaji and Huangtian in the afternoon to experience traditional folk projects such as New Year candy, ancient tofu grinding, intangible cultural heritage oilcloth umbrellas, ancient oil pressing workshops, etc.
Transportation: It is recommended to drive around. The high-speed rail can go to Jingxian County and then it is convenient to take a taxi.
Clothing: Traditional costumes such as Hanfu, horse-faced skirt, and Chinese jacket skirt are all very photogenic. You can also wear black, red, etc. in the Xuan Paper Museum, and any photo you take will turn out great.
Accommodation: Jingxian Maolin Xiuzhu Country Resort B&B. The rustic feel of the green tiles and earthen walls cannot conceal the exquisiteness inside. With a new view at every step, it is like a paradise if you get up early and take a stroll there. Each courtyard has its own scenery, and the food serves authentic southern Anhui cuisine. Don’t forget to taste China while checking in.
📍: Xunkeng Group, Xikou Village, Maolin Town, Jing County.
Find a quiet yet lively place for the family to go during the Spring Festival. Follow my homework and you can refer to it for two days and one night or three days and two nights.
