#celebratewithtrip dragon hot pot is the best Chinese restaurant I dined in in Melbourne. it works in such a way where you choose the ingredients you want based on the large variety that is available then you proceed to the cashier to order the soup base and they will prepare it for you. I tried the Tom yum soup and it’s good for me because it wasn’t spicy at all and very refreshing on a cold day. ingredients were plenty like scallops seafood mussels or vegetables and there’s different types of vegetables as well as fish ball meat ball etc and other types of meat like pork beef and all. very nice restaurant and would recommend trying.

#celebratewithtrip visited Hutong dumpling bar which is located at chinatown Melbourne. the restaurant has a very nice exterior and there is about 2-3 floors here. usually nobody dines on the first floor so you’ll have to climb up for more seats. ordered some Chinese food such as the red chilli oil wanton which was not too bad. as well as the xiaolongbao but skin was a bit thick. the noodles were also average. overall food was average but the ambience was nice and the interior and exterior of the restaurant felt really chinesey and grand. price was also somewhat reasonable for Chinese food in Melbourne.

#celebratewithtrip ordered dinner at Shanghai street on our first night in Melbourne as we were already missing Chinese and Asian food. and of course visiting chinatown is a must. since we were in the vicinity we decided to have some Chinese food. saw this shop was quite crowded and there were long queues so we decided to dine here. the xiaolongbao was so so as skin was a bit thick and could not really taste the soup. for the chilli oil wanton it felt more like wanton dumplings as sauce wasn’t good enough. the noodles however were fantastic and I love the wok hey that comes with it. overall restaurant was quite alright.
