[New Chinggis Khaan Airport] is an airport operated by Narita International Airport with the involvement of Japanese companies⭐️ In the arrival lobby, there are Japanese restaurants, Burger King, Ajisen Ramen, a large convenience store with a wide range of products, and a cafe. There is only one currency exchange, so we lined up. It seems to be closed at night. You can withdraw cash at an ATM. The airport shuttle bus counter is next to the currency exchange, and it departs when the number of people is complete. It stops at designated locations such as major hotels, and as of September 2024, it costs $10. [New Chinggis Khan International Airport] In the restricted area after departure, there is a traditional ramen shop called [MENYA AKUTAGAWA], and I had the regular ramen✨ The noodles are thick and slightly soft egg noodles🍜 The soup is also nicely hot🔥 There are three large pieces of salty seaweed. The char siu has a good soy sauce flavor, and the spinach is boiled as is, but it's plump⭐️ This was a pleasant surprise in Mongolia, where vegetables are expensive😊 The chopsticks are thick. This time, I went to Istanbul ✈️ I hadn't heard much about them, but they were cheap, so I tried MIAT Mongolian Airlines. By the way, it was 47,790 yen one way. Narita Airport 14:40 → New Ulaanbaatar Airport 19:15 New Ulaanbaatar Airport 7:55 (+1) → Istanbul Airport 12:55 I had about 12 hours in Mongolia, so I was wondering whether to stay at the airport or in a hotel. It takes an hour to get from the city to the airport, and I heard that the morning traffic is terrible, so I decided to stay at the airport. I arrived at New Ulaanbaatar Airport and headed towards the Transfer sign. There was no staff there, but after waiting for about 5 minutes, a staff member came and the procedure was completed. There was one place to stretch your legs and rest at the departure gate (photos 2 and 3). The other sofas didn't have handrails, so I felt like I could lie down and rest. Thank you☺️☺️ There was a cafe and a restaurant (ramen shop), and it was open during the night depending on the flight. I was worried about transiting alone, but I was inside the departure gate, so I was able to spend the time without any problems. I slept normally💤 Narita to Ulaanbaatar was a 3-3 plane, and Ulaanbaatar to Istanbul was a 2-3-2 plane. A small airport which is new and clean. Equipped with WiFi. There’s some eateries which is easy access. You can find money changer here. There’s also some local SIM card available here. There are a few transport mode to bring you to city. You can get a private hire, UBus, shuttle bus, or public bus. It takes approximately 1 hour to city by car. The airport is quite good occupied with many tourists traveling due school holidays. There many duty free shops here, especially mostly mongolian national brands like Goyol cashmere, Erdenet cashmere, Golden Gobi chocolate and many other brands.
