Germany and Austria 🇩🇪🇦🇹Christmas market trip🎄✨
I went on a trip to Germany and Austria for about a week in early December 🇩🇪🇦🇹🎄❄️✨
As someone who loves Christmas, I was very happy to be able to go to the Nuremberg Christmas Market, which is said to be the largest in the world! All the buildings in Germany are large, and the scale is incomparable to Japan, so it was a lot of fun 🎄🎅🏻❄️✨
I was really impressed by Neuschwanstein Castle, which is said to have been the model for Cinderella Castle...!! ✨
Unfortunately, there was no shuttle bus running, so I walked to the castle for about 40 minutes, but there were also people going there by horse-drawn carriage along the way! I didn't ride, but the horses walking around were so cute🐎💖
I also went to the Silent Night Cathedral, the Wies Pilgrimage Association, the Salzburg Christmas Market, the Munich Christmas Market, the Rothenburg Christmas Market, and many other places😭✨
This season in Germany, the Christmas mood is everywhere, and just being in the city makes me happy. I really hope everyone goes there at least once in their life during the Christmas season!
I'd like to go to Frankfurt again🤍

Nutcrackers and Nuremberg: A Christmas Market Dream
#holidayseason
If you could bottle the magic of Christmas and sprinkle it over a city, you’d get the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. This Bavarian gem isn’t just one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany; it’s the ultimate holiday wonderland, straight out of a snow globe.
Held in the historic Hauptmarkt square, this market is a feast for all your senses. Imagine rows of charming wooden stalls, decked in festive red-and-white stripes, each offering traditional delights that’ll make your holiday heart sing. The air smells like roasted almonds, mulled wine (Glühwein), and Nürnberger Lebkuchen—gingerbread so good it’s practically legendary.
Of course, no visit to Nuremberg’s market is complete without a taste of their famous Nürnberger Rostbratwurst. These tiny sausages, served in a crusty bun with a dollop of mustard, pack a mighty punch of flavor. Pair them with a hot cup of Glühwein, served in collectible mugs that change designs every year—a souvenir you can sip from!
The market is presided over by the Christkind, a golden angel-like figure who opens the festivities with a poetic prologue. Wander through the stalls to discover handcrafted ornaments, nutcrackers, and toys that will fill your stockings with charm and nostalgia.
For a quieter experience, visit the nearby Children’s Market, complete with a carousel and sweet treats for the little ones (or the young at heart).
Whether you’re here to shop, snack, or soak in the festive spirit, the Nuremberg Christmas Market is pure holiday magic.
