In comparison, the previous ones were just appetizers, and this one is the main course. This exhibition reviews Tan En’s representative works from 2012 to 2019. Nearly 50 works are divided into multiple series such as "Plane", "Above the Clouds", and "Time of Yin and Mao". The complex style seems to be the artist constantly letting his inspiration fly and freely imagining according to his preferences. I saw one of my favorite exhibitions today. #ShanghaiExhibition

The artist uses bamboo poles, volcanic rocks, electric shocks, wood, and airline movements in the exhibition to form a dynamic image of all things flourishing. The surrounding black volcanic rocks provide stability to the picture, preventing it from becoming erratic. Meanwhile, the contrast between movement and stillness offers viewers a unique aesthetic experience.

Recently, the exhibition hall of Shanghai Chun Art Gallery (located on the second floor of the Huangpu District Library at 655 Fuzhou Road) has been transformed into a theater-like, bizarre space by dozens of works of 'Entanglement'. These works vary in size, material, and technique. The exhibition 'Entanglement', which opened on May 9, was co-created by renowned contemporary calligrapher Xu Jing and jewelry designer and craftsman Feng Jia; social activist and LEGO certified professional Hou Weiwei took on the role of curator; film art director Sun Li served as the art director; and sound artists Yan Jun and Yin Yi were specially invited to create sound art works and sound field arrangements. The exhibition brings a new sensory experience and conceptual understanding to the audience in Shanghai with an extremely experimental artistic energy field. The artists, curator, and art director all emphasized the nature of the exhibition: 'Entanglement' is not a traditional 'calligraphy exhibition', nor a jewelry exhibition, nor a 'dual solo exhibition' of the two artists. Instead, it is an exhibition that arises from the artistic thinking of creating installation works, forming an event where calligraphy and jewelry cross boundaries in both directions, inspire each other, and jointly construct. This new exhibition is a joint art exhibition by two female artists, combining calligraphy and gold jewelry works, which is very ornamental. The whole exhibition is like walking into a dream theater, with the assistance of sound art installations in addition to calligraphy and gold jewelry, providing the audience with a brand new sensory art experience. It's well worth a visit, highly recommended!

After a friend's recommendation, I went to the Chun Art Gallery yesterday afternoon to see a cross-disciplinary collaborative exhibition called 'Entwined'. The exhibition features works by two female artists, Xu Jing and Feng Jia, allowing calligraphy and gold ornamentation, two distinctly separate art forms, to converse and permeate each other. The addition of red wine to ink painting, known as 'wine writing', gives the ink a hint of dark pink, which remains powerful even when diluted. After ten years of practice, Xuan paper is made anew, and the new paper is imbued with the irregular marks left by the ink, all of which are redefined by the artists. Gold and gemstones, like calligraphy, possess a blend of strength and softness, integrating calligraphy into jewelry, which is another expression of art. The ornaments on-site are even more abundant and attractive, and although the characters may be difficult to understand, their power can move you.

By borrowing the concept of 'polyphony' from the field of music, the exhibition attempts to explore the unique resonances of 'polyphony' in various cultural domains through the interplay of multiple media such as painting, installation, video, and sculpture.
