Xipo Qinling - A healing mountain retreat near Xi'an, Shaanxi Province
Xipo Qinling Resort
Zhashui County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province
For native Shaanxi people, the Qinling Mountains not only represent the geographical significance of the "Qinling-Huaihe Line," but also hold a special place in their hearts. The mountains have nurtured generations of simple and honest Qinling families and have always been a place to escape the city and relax. Following in the footsteps of "Xipo," you will fly over the lush mountains of Qinling and pass through the mysterious Qinling Tunnel, the longest tunnel in Asia, to reach Xipo Qinling. Only then will you understand the ancient poets' descriptions of "Where is home beyond the clouds of Qinling?" and "Deep in the clouds, I know not where."
There are three courtyards, gradually ascending with the terrain, distributed in the valley, and named Beiyang, Niubei, and Xilu. Each courtyard is a complete immersive vacation space with privacy. Xipo has utilized the original idle old houses, retaining the characteristics of southern Shaanxi dwellings, such as tiled roofs, brick carvings, and earth-colored rammed earth walls, which are simple, warm, and full of rustic charm. The housekeepers and aunts are all local residents, each with a few signature home-cooked dishes, from seasonal wild vegetables to authentic northwest noodles. The three treasures of Zhashui: walnuts, black fungus, and chestnuts, are the most representative autumn flavors of the mountains. There are many attractions around Xipo Qinling. You can drive through the Qinling Tunnel, winding up the mountain, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Famous attractions in the Qinling Mountains, such as Taibai Mountain and Huashan, are not far away and can be visited to experience the grandeur and mystery of nature. You can also participate in various outdoor activities at Xipo Qinling, such as hiking, cycling, and photography, to explore the mysteries of the Qinling Mountains.
