Quick Business Trip to Sabah 🧳🌅 Just back from a short work trip to Kota Kinabalu (KK) — even with a packed schedule, still managed to enjoy some amazing views and delicious food! 📍 Had my event at the KK Convention Centre — spacious, modern, and the sunset view from there was beautiful. Also caught the sunset at KK Waterfront — chill vibes and a great spot to wind down after work. 🌅 If you have more time, I’d definitely recommend heading to Tanjung Aru Beach — the sunset view there is next-level and totally worth the visit. 🏨 Stayed at Cititel Express KK — clean, comfy, and super convenient. Ideal for a business trip. 🍽️ Food highlights: • Borneo Fried Chicken – crispy and super tasty • Malay BBQ fish & sotong – smoky and flavorful • Fresh local seafood – always a win in KK • Kedai Kopi Kim Hing Lee(生肉面) Meat soup noodles – warm, hearty, and full of flavor! (Non Halal) 🛍️ Also had time to walk around the local market — lots of local snacks and souvenirs. A fun way to experience KK’s laid-back vibe. 📝 Next time, I’m definitely planning a proper island trip — maybe Sapi or Manukan. Didn’t have the chance this time, but it’s on my list! A very short trip to Kota Kinabalu which allow me to take the opportunity to have my favourite food such as tuaran mee, sayur manis and dog conch. Having chosen to overnight at Cititel Express Hotel which is a very nice hotel with comfortable and clean room. It is also worth mentioning that the famous welcome seafood restaurant is walkable distance from the hotel and the imago shopping also nearby to the hotel. It was a fruitful trip for me even though it was a very short trip. Hotel: Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu Itinerary: 🗓️Itinerary Scheduling: Day 1 - Arrival - Fatt Kee Seafood Restaurant (must try tomyum) - Gaya Street - Check in and rest - Enjoy sunset at Tanjung Aru, Zinc cafe - Dinner at Sasa seafood (not many tourists, 90% local people, around RM 400 for 5 pax includes crab prawn mantis clams and many) Day 2 - Day Trip to Mengalum Island (Ria) - Back to jetty around 3pm - Rest at hotel - Dinner at Rare Food & Wine Day 3 - Kundasang - Desa Daily Farm (recommend chocolate milk and coffee milk) - Grill Wild Boar on the way down to KK from Kundasang - Dinner at Sasa Seafood, again (seafood price in Sabah is so reasonable compared to Peninsular) - Enjoy sunset at Tanjung Aru - Heading to airport at 9pm Back to KL at 1am

Good location

The space of the room is very small and so the toilet but it’s clean . But the Aircond is the main problem not working well . #Kotakinabalu

Travelling to KK less than 24hrs then flew back to Btu..it was a vry tiring trip but i manage to enjoy fresh seafood at nearby restaurant within walking distance.

Domestic fly to Kota Kinabalu, mostly red-eye flights this situation just got off the plane is the most difficult must be trapped to open eyes choose a hotel very close to the airport immediately stay Is the best choice Recommended: Cititel Express Kota Kinabalu (Kota Kinabalu City Express Hotel), take a taxi for about 5 minutes, take a good sleep, and then go out!
