Affordable and cheap hotel that is located within minutes walk from the Malaysia customs. There are also a few eateries that are situated super near to the hotel which serve really good mee goreng and roti prata. However, the area could get a little rowdy at night so it would be good if you don’t stay up too late. Overall, the room condition is acceptable if you are just there for a short stay.

Just right behind Meldrum walk, you can find this coffeeshop along Jalan Meldrum. There are many coffeeshops here and you can use Bello Hotel as a landmark. There is a lot of food here and you can choose where you want to go. It is like a hawker centre but they are on a smaller scale. You can place an order and the hawker will serve it to you. A hidden food street nearby City Square Johor Bahru. If you walk towards Citrus Hotel, you will be able to locate this Meldrum Walk food street. There is one famous food store here and they are selling oyster omelette. It is better that you place an order before coming here otherwise you will end up waiting for a long time. You can contact them and place your order then pay them after you collect your food. Hotel review near the mall, near JB Sentral (immigration to Singapore) is the best. Near the hotel, there are many restaurants, cafes and attractions that can be reached by foot. The location is very good. The cleanliness is average. But the color of the tiles and the overall room may look a bit old. But we only stayed for one night, it was okay. Price: 1,xxx / night, excluding breakfast. It is a room with a window, but it cannot be opened. We booked a Twin bed room. There is some space. You can open your luggage. Check in is fast. The staff is smiling and welcoming. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel. At Jorhor, it is convenient to call Grab and it is very cheap. #TravelMalaysia

Reception by hotel staff is most excellent. Great service and very efficient. Hotel lobby is well appointed as are rooms. Beds we Comfortable and bathroom was large with large shower. Hotel halls are a little dated, but you only need to see that as you transfer from room to elevator. Great for the price paid and super close to JB CENTRAL SHOPS AND TRAIN STATION. #malaysia

Highlights - Easy accessibility beside the mall, and walkable distance to most f&b establishments surrounding the area. Night bazaar is just 5-10mins walk away as well depending on individuals. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. Downside is it may get quite noisy during peak due to the heavy traffic right beside the hotel. Avg. Price per Person - $50-$100 Rating - 4.5/5

In Johor Bahru, it is always good to try out their local nasi lemak breakfast. At the citrus Johor Bahru hotel, I get to try out their freshly made nasi lemak. I love their crispy crunchy ikan bilis and the fragrance peanut. They go along well with all the dishes served. Apart from the nasi lemak, there are also western choices to choose from. My favorite potato wedges and sausages were also available there too. After a sumptuous breakfast, it is time to have some fresh fruits to boost up your immunity. By booking a club room, which is 10 bucks more than a deluxe room, with the same size, I do get to enjoy some club facilities. The club lounge is located at the 11th floor, same as the gym. You have to take the lift to level 10, and take the stairs up. The club lounge is spacious. There are many sofa seats for you to chit chat with your friends. There is a free flow of soft drinks for you to enjoy. There will be finger foods such as nuggets and deep fried dumplings for you to enjoy. I do love the billiards table where I can have a few rounds of games with my friends, with no additional cost. The four stars citrus hotel at Johor Bahru fits in the criteria. The hotel is located just a street away from the city Square mall. Their surroundings were great too. There are few shops selling roti prata, and some mobile shops around where you can purchase your mobile card to access the internet. The lobby is small and clean. The deluxe room was decent, with a room size of 22m2. The bed is a queen sized bed. The television channels were mostly local and Singapore channels. The room is clean and neat. The family room comes with a queen bed and a single bed. The family room was spacious, with a room size of 30m2. The family room comes with two sofa seats. There are no bathtubs in all rooms. The floor is carpeted so that children won't get hurt when they fall down. The hotel room is simple and clean. Most television programs are local channels. I would strongly recommend family to stay at this hotel if you want to get an affordable stay, yet a big family room, just opposite the city Square mall. We tried out their local breakfast buffet. The spread wasn't as much as other Johor Bahru hotels that we have stayed in before. The breakfast is simple. It comes with western choice and Malay choice. There were baked beans, spaghetti, omelette, fried pineapple rice, fruits, and cereal. It would be great to visit the hotel if you want a simple breakfast at an affordable price room, just opposite the city Square mall. The location is superb as it is located just near the immigration customs, and just 3 minutes walk to the city Square mall. The hotel family room is spacious 30m2. Though they do not have a bathtub in all rooms. The room is clean and newly renovated. The television programs are mostly local channels. The breakfast has a simple spread. They include nasi lemak, cooked vegetables and chicken sausages. We went for a walk to the nearby area to shop around and explore. The 4 stars citrus hotel is located opposite city Square mall. The hotel has various categories of rooms. They do have 10 floors. From the standard 17m2 to deluxe 22m2 to the family 30m2 room. All rooms do not come with a bathtub. Some of the rooms are located in the middle of the building. Hence there will be no window in the room. They include the family room and the standard rooms. Each room has a special colour theme. They include a green blue yellow and orange room theme. The television channels are very basic which includes Singapore local channels and Malaysia local channels. There is some massage chair at the lobby where you can pay to enjoy a half an hour massage. The hotel is great for those who want to stay near the city Square mall. #bucketlistreboot

The Citrus hotel Johor Bahru has a superb location just opposite city Square mall, and a few minutes walk from the immigration customs. The club room is located at level 9. The club room is basically the deluxe room with an additional club lounge access. The club room does not come with a bathtub. The room size is decent at 22m2. The club lounge is located at level 10. You have to walk up the stairs as lift is not accessible to the club lounge. There are simple finger foods such as fried dumplings and nuggets, and free access of unlimited soft drinks. There is also a billard table where you can play a game with your friend. There are many sofa at the club lounge where you can mingle with your friends. #bucketlistreboot
