There are many memorial towers in the park, each of which is engraved with the names of people who died in the war in different regions, reminding us not to forget the lessons of history. In the center of the park stands a bell symbolizing peace, which represents the moment when the war stopped. Its voice seems to tell every visitor how precious peace is and that it is worth our joint protection and cherishing. Visitors can reflect quietly here and feel the hard-earned peace and tranquility. I always thought Okinawa was all about blue skies, white clouds, and beach snorkeling. I never expected to ride an ATV through the jungle! The bumpy ride and splashing mud were incredibly exhilarating! The entire route winds through dense forests, sometimes on narrow paths and other times on bumpy, muddy terrain. Riding is not as easy as on flat roads; you need to maintain your rhythm and grip the vehicle firmly, or you might end up with numb hands from the jolts 🤣 Although it was my first time riding, it wasn't hard to get the hang of it. The staff will teach you how to operate the ATV, and after a bit of practice, you're good to go! The most surprising part was the scenery along the way. Sometimes, as you pass through dense woods, you can spot some of Okinawa's unique flora and fauna, making it feel like a real tropical jungle adventure. They also have smaller ATVs for kids. Although I didn't bring my children this time, it seems like a great family activity that's not too difficult to handle.

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to drive here. There are fresh sashimi, lobster and sea urchin, baked cheese scallops, large oysters... so many delicious ingredients that make people drool just by looking at them. Not only are they fresh and delicious, but the prices are also much cheaper than in the city. If you like seafood and sashimi, I recommend that you must include Itoman Fish Market in your must-eat food during your free trip to Okinawa.
