The cotton storehouse was originally a building for storing and protecting cotton rolls from fire and theft. It is said that this cotton storehouse was built by Torao Takeuchi in the late Meiji to early Taisho periods, and there are only a few of them left on the Chita Peninsula. #nagoyatrip Clean sand and beach, however not certain about the water quality as we did not swim during our visit. From what we understand they will have their annual summer fireworks on the beach. We spotted many recreational anglers along the coast and windsurfers. We found out later on there is a rental place for windsurfing at quite an affordable price. Good place to relax if you have time.

#AichiTrip We went to NEST by THE SEA in Shinmaiko, Chita City, Aichi Prefecture, for lunch. It's about a 5-minute walk from Meitetsu Shinmaiko Station. This is a wedding venue, so it may be booked all day and closed, so you need to check the website. Also, if you go without making a reservation, there will be a line, so I recommend making a reservation. Also, it seems that you can't make a reservation on the day, so please be careful. We shared a pasta plate and a fruit sandwich after the meal. The pasta was delicious, but the fruit sandwich in particular was full of fresh cream, not too sweet, and very filling. After the meal, we relaxed at the sea in front of Shinmaiko before returning home. I recommend this restaurant because you can enjoy the sea and experience something out of the ordinary.

Inside Okakiya Tatsushin, you can buy souvenirs such as okaki, rice crackers, and mochi, but I came here to try the Okada Katsudon, which is famous in the Chita region. Okada Katsudon is a rare katsudon with a sweet and spicy sauce and a soft-boiled fried egg on top. As it has been featured on TV and other media, there were many autographed cards from famous people on display. A large serving is free and costs 800 yen including tax. It was really delicious.
