[Shizuoka] Mishima Taisha Shrine, the power spot where Minamoto no Yoritomo prayed for victory in battle
Mishima Taisha Shrine, the best power spot in Izu ⛩
Famous for the prayers made during the uprising to overthrow the Heike clan, who established the Kamakura Shogunate, and the spectacular victory. It is also popular as a power spot for prosperous business.
It is also recommended as a cherry blossom viewing spot, with cherry blossoms 🌸 in spring, hydrangeas in the rainy season, and golden osmanthus in autumn!
The "Koshikakeishi" where Minamoto no Yoritomo and Hojo Masako are said to have actually sat is a must-see for fans of historical dramas and history!
It is not well known, but in the "Shinshikaen" on the right hand side after entering, there are deer 🦌 that are said to have come from Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara during the Taisho era. Be sure to visit and see them.
