It’s a great choice for both leisure and business travelers. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the front desk were welcoming and efficient, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The room was clean, well-lit, and thoughtfully designed, featuring a comfortable bed, ample workspace, and modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and a functional bathroom with hot water and good pressure. We appreciated the daily housekeeping and the overall cleanliness of the premises. The hotel’s minimalist yet cozy décor created a restful environment, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Kunming. Though there is no in-house restaurant, the location more than compensates, with local noodle shops, tea houses, and convenience stores just steps away. What stood out most was the quiet, secure atmosphere — we slept soundly every night, undisturbed. The hotel also provided basic necessities like bottled water and toiletries, which made our stay more convenient. In short, City Comfort Inn offers a warm, clean, and affordable stay right in the city center. It’s ideal for travelers who want reliable comfort without the price tag of high-end hotels. The shopkeeper, an elderly man with a warm smile, sat behind a wooden counter, carefully polishing an old coin. Intrigued, I asked about it. He handed it to me—a weathered, round piece with intricate carvings. "This is a Qing Dynasty coin," he said, "used by traders who once passed through Lijiang on the Tea Horse Road." Holding it, I imagined the bustling marketplaces of the past, where merchants bartered silver, tea, and textiles. I ended up buying a few old coins as souvenirs, each carrying a story of Lijiang’s rich history. As I stepped back into the lively streets, the sound of running water from the town’s ancient canals and the distant melody of a Naxi musician on his erhu reminded me that history still lives in every corner of this place.
