It was a trip to Bristol, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 We started our day at Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of Bristol’s most iconic landmarks. Arriving just before sunrise 🌅 was worth it, the soft morning light created a breathtaking view over the Avon Gorge ✨ We took photos from Observatory Hill, where you get a perfect shot of the bridge with the city in the background. The Pero’s Bridge area is a great spot for night photography 📸 with the lit-up buildings and boats creating a stunning urban scene. #uktrip Without a doubt, One of the best museums I’ve been to! It holds so much history and science. From the entrance all the way to the end of the exhibits, the staff is very helpful and there is a lot to do, see and learn. What really captured my interest was the inside of the SS Great Britain itself. First we thought it was only the deck of the ship that is open to explore. But many of the ships interior, including cabins, kitchens, dining halls, engine room etc were very nicely presented with descriptions and figures. Don’t forget to see the ghost in the engine room! 😛 I’d say you can spend quality 3 hours in this place. If you want to grab a bite before or after visiting the museum, they have a cafe right there or there are a lot of restaurants just 5 minute walk away. They have a souvenir shop too. You can find all sorts of key tags, puzzles, bags and what not there. Since they are an independent entity every purchase will help them preserve the museum for future. You can find toilet facilities throughout the museum premises as well. In terms of parking, they have a car park very close to the museum itself and you can pay at the museum office for parking which actually makes it cheaper than that at the parking machine.

I enjoyed a nice weekend staying in bristol's old city. While there were no raving feedbacks from people who had previously considered bristol for weekends. I thought my time was well spent and the city worked for me. Especially from the perspective of a weekend getaway. It allowed for a decent mix of different things. Iw as put up in the old city because iIstick with older parts of town and I'm into heritage. But otherwise too it think in case of Bristol the best backpacker options are here. So depending on your budget you may pick a place. There is stoke croft which has very good and decently priced backpacker options too. Other than that you have southville and Clifton too. Places that i visited during the weekend break and were nice. As for things to too, I would highly recommend a walking tour. It was a great way to get to know so much about a place and get insights from a local guide. Also, the Bansy trail that is part of some walking tours is super fun. There's a good mix of heritage, churches, harbor and landmarks like the cliffton suspension bridge to explore. It would allow come down to what sort of traveller you are what preferences. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a serene oasis where you can escape the city hustle and reconnect with nature. The well-maintained walking trails are perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the playground keeps the kids entertained for hours. What sets Bristol Park apart is its lush landscaping – it's like stepping into a botanical garden. There are plenty of benches to relax on and take in the beauty around you. 🌿🦜 Nature lovers, you're in for a treat! As we walked... we couldn't help but get nervous because of the dense and ostentatious graffiti. Some even climbed onto the doors and windows of the building to ask their friends. , he used "Sham Shui Po" to describe this area. To briefly describe, Bristol was in dire straits after World War II, but development was concentrated in the city center, Stokes Croft was marginalized, and there were many abandoned houses. I had always wanted to hike in the UK, but I didn’t have the guts alone, and one day I found a park near the University of Bristol. Walk down to City Council's Park Street from Bristol University, next to Great George Street and all the way to the end is one of the entrances to the park. This is a small hill, Brandon Hill, unlike other park trails that are always gentle and undulating, with ramps or stone steps... Head towards the highest point and find a redstone tower called Cabot Tower. The tower was built in the eighteenth century, actually commemorating an Italian named John Cabot, who sailed to today's Canada with the support of King Henry VII in the fourteenth century to discover Newfoundland. Bristol was an important seaport in England in ancient times, and John Cabot set out from here, making two trips, once to discover Newfoundland, and the other probably to trade. Fourteenth to eighteenth centuries...why was a tower built to commemorate in Bristol four hundred years later? It turns out that by the eighteenth century, Britain and France wanted to fight for local colonial rights. In the end, Britain won, and in order to consolidate colonial power, they revisited and highlighted the history of four hundred years ago. When I first arrived in Bristol, I saw some unicorns with different patterns on the street. At first I thought they were city decorations. They were so pretty that I just took a photo and passed by, but tourists were all scanning the QR code on the ground, just to see it too! It turns out that Bristol has a Unicorn Festival from July to September this year. Different artists will paint on a horse-sized unicorn statue, and then place it in different places in Bristol. Tourists and citizens can download an App with a unicorn map, which can be used to check where there are unicorns nearby. Once you find one, you can scan the code and check in to see who has collected the most! 🧩🦄😜 In September, the conference will gather all the unicorns from all over the world for exhibition. There seem to be more than fifty of them now. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to an organization that helps leukemia. Details of Unicornfest can be found online. After checking the distribution locations, some places are difficult to get to. This suspension bridge is built across the Avon Gorge, linking Clifton (Bristol) and Leigh Woods (North Somerset). This suspension bridge is built and opened in 1864. The bridge deck is suspended by 162 vertical wrought-iron rods in 81 matching pairs. It has been a venue for some significant events (e.g. handover venue of the Olympic Torch relay in 2012.) To get here, take No 8 circular bus from Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station and alight at Clifton Village. Excellent and free city museum. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. A prime example of Victorian era architecture. Set over several floors this has something for everyone. The fine arts collection is impressive with some notable artists on display which gives a sense of grandeur. The Japanese porcelain collection is worth a look too. If you like history the Egyptian exhibition is excellent, informative and interesting. Quite impressive for a smaller UK city. There are also dinosaur fossils on display as well as a prehistoric section. The standout has to the replica airplane hanging from the ceiling. Quite a sight!
