The final chapter of the three-week laid-back trip to Egypt, Conrad Hotel in Cairo
The last stop of the trip to Egypt, after much consideration, decided to continue to stay on the banks of the Nile in Cairo, Conrad won out on price.
The hotel is located about one kilometer north of the Egyptian Museum. This area along both banks of the Nile has embassies from many countries and is a gathering place for fashionable restaurants and cafes. It is also the battleground for Hilton Group and Marriott Group, with St. Regis next to Conrad and Hilton and Marriott across the river.
The exterior and interior of the building are all what a five-star hotel should look like in the 1980s and 1990s. The atrium dome is towering, symbolizing luxury and the necessary crystal chandeliers and spiral staircases of the drunken gold fans will not be absent. The reception staff are courteous and directly arrange to the executive lounge on the high floor for handling, upgrade to the Nile view suite, everything is in order.
It should have been renovated in recent years, and the aesthetics are advancing with the times. The suite has river view balconies in both directions, with double bathrooms and double Mini bars. It feels like two standard rooms with different layouts are connected. There are Bluetooth speakers and capsule coffee machines, and a fully equipped small kitchen, suitable for long-term guests. There is a spacious outdoor terrace downstairs, but unfortunately the swimming pool and garden are currently under maintenance. As a substitute plan, if you want to swim, you can only go to the nearby Hilton.
The executive lounge's happy hour in the evening is not bad, with several hot dishes. The next day's breakfast is not worth mentioning, still a cold meal convention, cold cuts, bread, yogurt, juice are enough, plus 18 ways to make eggs.
Finally, this trip to Egypt lasted 20 days, changed 6 cities, stayed in 12 different international chain hotels (I am really crazy). Regardless of which latitude to compare, Conrad Cairo is the best.
Leave 300 Egyptian pounds on your body, exchange the rest to continue traveling with your partner, take a taxi from Conrad to the airport for 210 pounds, leave 90 pounds as a souvenir, and should come again.
