Another trip is over! My and my Sa's "Penang...Pang Nee Nee" trip. This time, I want to go somewhere nearby, my Sa. Go without thinking too much, no rushing, no driving. Go on a simple trip. Sa slapped his knees!! Then let's go to Penang!! Because in Penang, we travel using Grab or Air Asia Super App. We can easily call a car to go to various places. Plus, the price is not too high. We called repeatedly. We just pressed the button to go wherever we wanted. Penang is an island. The roads are not complicated. The tourist attractions are not far apart. Therefore, most tourists travel for 3 days and 2 nights. That's enough to visit all the important tourist attractions in Penang. But... I'll continue. Let's go for 4 days and 3 nights. Our travel life starts at noon. I'm not in a rush. Haha. In one day, we can travel 1-2 times. Let's focus on resting and changing our place of sleep. Most Thais who come to visit Penang say that when you come to Penang, you have to eat. The food here is delicious! What did you eat? Mostly Nasi Lamak and Laksa, the national dishes of Malaysia. If you come to Penang, it would be Char Kway Teow. And of course, me and my husband are foodies! We won't miss it! We'll eat everything! We'll try everything! I've already eaten it. The results for Nasi Lamak and Laksa, I can eat it. I can say "I can eat it". It's not bad. 555+ Let's cut to Char Kway Teow. I had to beg for my life because I... gave it to my husband to eat instead. 555+ It's so bad. It's not delicious. It's stir-fried noodles similar to Pad Thai, but it's very salty. It's salty. It's not delicious at all. I won't eat it. 555+ Or maybe I found a restaurant that didn't make it to my liking. 🤣🤣🤣 In that case, my husband and I would like to recommend some non-mainstream food and desserts in Penang. They're the ones that we've tried. We've eaten them and said, "Heyy ... First dish... simple home-style food "Dry Wonton Noodles with Roasted Pork" This shop is located on the corner of Chulia Street. It's sooo delicious!!! It's a bit sweet and salty. I think they should add Hoi An sauce. I didn't have time to take a picture of the wonton noodles because they sold out so fast. 555+ So I took a picture of the uncle's shop to show you when they were all gone. 555+ This is a must-try. Next is a dessert. The two of us happened to find it while waiting at the famous dim sum shop Tai Tong Restaurant. Because the shop said it opened at 6:00 PM in the evening, we waited since 5:30 PM. It still wasn't open. But... hey!! Why are there so many people here driving here? They parked their cars and ran to buy something at the cart across from Tai Tong!! Because my husband was curious... I turned around and he was already in line to buy something at that shop. 555+ Then we found out that it was a dessert shop. The shop's signature dish is "Steam Pancake Rice", which is "steamed rice cake". Yes, you read that right. Regular steamed rice cake!!! But it's sooo delicious. I don't know why, it's so sweet and refreshing. It's so delicious. I stood and ate 2 pieces while waiting for Tai Tong to open and I was almost full. 555+ And finally, we had to cleanse our mouths with fruit. My husband and I would like to recommend "pickled and preserved fruits" here!! There should be shops like this everywhere, but the shop that we like is the car that the uncle and auntie drove to sell near Gurney Plaza. Oh my god!! It's so delicious, my mouth is so sour. The mangoes are pickled in many forms: sweet, salty, sour, and spicy. Oh...and it's really spicy. We really liked it. We bought a box to take home and eat later. Let's talk about the accommodation. I have to say that staying at Courtyard by Marriott Penang was super comfortable. This time, my husband booked a One Bedroom Suite. The room was spacious and of course, this room type had an additional bathroom. I screamed so hard. No need to fight with my husband in the morning anymore. Now, for the popular restaurants, you can find their locations on Pantip. But whether they're delicious or not is a personal matter. But for me and my 3 friends above, it's awesome!! Our room came with breakfast so will review their breakfast and ala carte menu Breakfast: buffet style and they do change 2 to 3 dishes daily. Otherwise very typical hotel breakfast. Noodle soup broth was not consistent. On our day 1 the broth was flavourful, but not so on our last day. Ala carte menu: we ate at the restaurant twice and ordered room service once. Enjoyed most of the food! The char kway teow's portion was big with enough wok hey. Nasi lemak was good too (but not the fried chicken that came with it so just skip the nasi lemak as it is also available during breakfast). Char hor fun was slightly above average. Grilled panini sandwich was surprising good. Took awhile to come but everything was piping hot when served. We also ordered the vegetarian pizza. Spent an awesome 4 nights at Courtyard by Marriott Penang. The hotel lobby is pretty small and unimpressive but the rooms are really good! We stayed in the lead in king room and it is spacious and well designed. Especially like the ledge near the tv area as can put things. Also like the mirror design! Bed and pillows are comfy. And the rain shower is so enjoyable. The water pressure is top notch! Makes up for not having bathtub. What is abit disappointing is the limited tv channels. Screen mirroring is allowed but no netflix. Location wise is within georgetown so still accessible. The location is excellent, easy to access to the George Town area and Gurney Drive. The car park also comfortable and easy to access. The property has two towers, the other tower is operates as a service apartment. The room has a good view of the city area with the ocean view, its beautiful to see in day and night. The breakfast is on the ground floor, simple and nice, not too fancy. There are few shops and eateries within the building. I like the swimming pool, its so beautiful design, is lovely pool with a city view, children's pool also available. The gym located at the same floor with swimming pool. Had a great stay! The staff was super accommodating and made every request easy. Customer service was warm and attentive, making the experience even better. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Really loved the sofa bed area—it was a cozy spot to relax. Would definitely stay again!

Courtyard by Marriott Penang is located at the heart of the city, with convenient access to various attractions. Although the tourist spots are not far away, the weather is extremely hot, so it is recommended to take a taxi. The overall standard of the hotel is similar to that of a slightly higher-end budget hotel in China, without even a decent lobby. Therefore, it is only suitable as a temporary stay. After a day of sightseeing, you can sleep soundly at night. Even though it is close to the main road and slightly noisy at night, it may not disturb your deep sleep. The most satisfying part is the bustling and lively food stalls on both sides of the road downstairs. There are several Michelin-recommended street food shops hidden in the surrounding alleys. Next door is the famous Southeast Asian biscuit shop, Ghee Hiang, so you don't have to worry about souvenirs. Not far away is Durian Street, where you can enjoy a durian before making your next plan. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the 11th-floor terrace. It is not suitable during the day due to the scorching sun, but it is covered by the building's shadow in the morning and evening, making it a popular time. However, the pool is mostly occupied by children and fully-covered Malay women, making the experience less enjoyable. The round rattan lounge chairs by the pool, which block the sun but not the breeze, are perfect for lying down. There is no executive lounge, only one restaurant that operates from morning to night. The breakfast is of average standard, dominated by Western and Malay dishes. Apart from the not-so-freshly squeezed juice and overly sweet rambutan, it is far less attractive than the various restaurants outside. It is highly recommended to use suite vouchers, especially during the peak summer season when the hotel is almost fully booked every day. Expecting a Titanium upgrade is unrealistic. The executive rooms given to members as upgrades are very small, and the facilities inside are vastly different from the suites. The suites are equipped with a coffee machine, scale, and bathtub, while the executive rooms are just regular rooms on higher floors. Therefore, using vouchers here is definitely worth it. Overall, keep your expectations low. If you are coming to Penang for a trip, this is the first choice. If you just want to relax in a hotel, aren't there several other premium options in the Marriott chain in Penang? Got a room with issue for shower drainage, shakey decorative beam and a fallen curtain bar… connecting room have smoke smell. Hotel manager did a recovery service on the same day and issue a new room… walking distance to nightmarket and food just downstairs
