Near West Lake or Ho Tai Lake, there is a Roman Catholic Church🛕 in bright mustard yellow, which is one of the three most important churches in Hanoi, along with Ham Long and St.Joseph'sCathedral.
It was originally called the Church of Our Lady of the Martyrs, built by the French government in Indochina. The architecture combines the Renaissance, Art Deco, and Baroque styles, making it uniquely beautiful.
The spacious interior of the church is decorated with stained glass windows depicting saints. It looks like a closed church, but it is open to the public.
Opposite the church is the ancient site of Thang Long Citadel, and not far from it is the Tran Quoc Pagoda, which you can also visit.
