I heard that the white magnolias in Dabi Yuan had bloomed, so I hurried to see them on a sunny Sunday. Last year, the main hall, Dabi Dian, was under renovation and covered up, so I missed them. The Thousand-Hand Guanyin statue inside Dabi Dian, viewed with the courtyard's white magnolias outside the window, offers a unique charm. I went on Sunday afternoon, March 16th. About 60% of the magnolias were in bloom. The ones near the north-facing hall were all open, while a few on the east and west sides were still budding. The magnolia blooming season only lasts for about two weeks, so if you want to see them, hurry up and go this week. Later, the white magnolias will turn yellow. As soon as I entered the courtyard, I saw many people taking pictures of the magnolias. There were experienced photographers and young ladies taking photos of each other. What caught my eye was that there was even a commercial shoot in the courtyard. The ancient costumes were quite beautiful, and many people were taking opportunistic shots. I only managed to snag one, and after editing, it's impossible to tell who the original subject was🤣. Because only the magnolias on the north side were in full bloom, with buds still on the east and west sides, and because of the weekend crowds, the composition was limited. 🌸Bring a friend and take photos of her with the magnolias. 🌸Take photos of the white magnolias with the ancient architecture: red windows, blue couplets, and black plaques. Address: Dabeichan Temple is located on Tianwei Road, Hebei District, Tianjin. It is the largest and best-preserved Buddhist temple in Tianjin. It consists of two parts: the West Temple and the East Temple. The West Temple, also known as the Old Temple, was built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and expanded in the eighth year of the Kangxi period (1669). It consists of the Cultural Relics Hall and the Abbot's Courtyard. The East Temple, also known as the New Temple, was built in 1940 and consists of the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Hall of Great Compassion, the Hall of Ksitigarbha, the Side Hall, the Ear Room, and the Corridor. It is the main part of the temple.

Dabeichanyuan Temple is located on Tianwei Road, Hebei District, Tianjin. It is the largest and best-preserved Buddhist temple in Tianjin, consisting of two parts: the east and west courtyards. The west courtyard was built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1669 AD), and the east courtyard was built in 1940 as the main body of the temple. The temple houses bronze statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, the Great Compassion Bodhisattva, Maitreya Buddha, and the Heavenly King. Dabeichanyuan Temple is named after the Great Compassion Guanyin, also known as the Thousand-Hand Guanyin. The rear hall of Dabeichanyuan Temple houses a 3.6-meter-high, 4-meter-wide golden statue of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin, with a solemn expression.

Even on weekdays, there are still many people here to worship. The temple is quite large, with many buildings and beautiful statues. There are many supermarkets and restaurants around the temple, as well as shops selling incense and worship supplies. Entrance fee: 5 yuan Transportation: Take the subway to Zhongshan Lu Station and then take bus 818, 869, 609, 610. The temple is close to the Tianjin Eye, and it is easy to walk there.

In 1982, it was listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit, and in 1983, it was approved by the State Council as a key national temple in Han Chinese areas. The temple is also famous for having enshrined the parietal bone of the Tang dynasty's eminent monk Xuanzang from 1945 to 1956. Additionally, Dabei Chan Yuan has established a memorial hall for Master Hongyi, and the temple once enshrined the relics of the Tang dynasty's famous monk Xuanzang.
