Daci Rock is located 24 kilometers south of Jiande City. There is a golden double-faced Buddha statue on the mountain. Exploring the paradise, encountering the fairyland in Daciyuan Scenic Area
In the beautiful Daciyuan Scenic Area of our country, I spent an unforgettable day. In the morning, the sun was shining on the mountains, the air was fresh, and I started my journey with anticipation.
As soon as I entered the scenic area, I was attracted by the natural scenery here. Along the way, the quaint houses, lush trees, and winding mountain roads form a beautiful landscape painting. Taking the sightseeing bus in the scenic area, I came to a higher altitude, where I can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire Xinye Village.
Next, I challenged the steep cliff plank road. Walking along the plank road, I felt the magic of nature. Beside me is the green cliff, under my feet is the leisurely valley, and occasionally I can see a few magpies flying happily on the plank road. At the end of the plank road, I encountered the Hanging Temple, a half-embedded in the mountain and half-hanging in the air, which can be called a miracle.
During the tour, I also tasted the local special dishes. The dishes with good color, fragrance and taste made me memorable. In addition, the Zen atmosphere in the scenic area also made me feel the tranquility of my soul. Walking on the clean mountain road, listening to the melodious bell, as if in a fairyland.
In the evening, I stayed in a homestay in the mountains. When night fell, the stars filled the sky, making me intoxicated with this wonderful natural scenery. The next day, I also participated in the expansion activities in the scenic area, such as rock climbing and speed descending, fully feeling the vitality and charm of Daciyuan.

Take a photo with the Double-Sided Buddha and don't forget to "touch Buddha's feet" for good luck. I wrote down my wishes for 2025 and hung a blessing tag, hoping all my wishes come true.
⭐️At the Buddha Viewing Platform, you can admire the "First Natural Buddha of China" from afar and enjoy the stunning scenery. Here, you can also experience ziplining, feeling like a martial arts hero from a TV series.
⭐️Climb to Tianmen and visit Gu Xiang Zhai, where I saw the 800-year-old ginkgo tree, a witness to countless seasons and historical events. From a distance, the tree resembles a golden pagoda or a blazing flame, standing out against the otherwise simple surroundings. Daci Rock Hanging Temple
Located 24 km south of Jiande City, Zhejiang Province, the temple is in the Daci Rock Scenic Area. During the Dade period of the Yuan dynasty, Mo Ziyuan from Lin'an followed a dream to abandon his family and come here, carving a Buddha from the rock and naming it Daci. The mountain was named after the Buddha, and the name Daci Rock was born. Architectural features: (Unique) The main hall, the Dizang King Hall, is half embedded in the rock and half suspended in the air, making it a spectacular sight. Outside the hall hangs a bronze bell cast in the mid-Ming dynasty, and to the left is a narrow crevice. (Suspended) The temple, plank road, incense corridor, and cableway all embody the concept of "suspension." The "Heavenly Plank Road" is built along the cliff, with a stone railing extending into a long corridor. Looking down from the railing, one feels as if the cliff is about to collapse. (Ingenious) The Hanging Temple has more than 40 halls and pavilions, seemingly supported by only a dozen wooden pillars as thick as bowls. A recent year-end review of the places worth visiting in 2024. I found Jiande to be at the top of my list.
Where to go during the summer, those who like to have fun with water must first go rafting at Wolong Scenic Area, which was newly opened this year. It’s really exciting! Feel the impact of the water in the rapids and release your stress.
🌆Then we came to Meicheng, known as the Zhejiang version of the ancient city of Dali, with a thousand-year city wall. The key is not to pay for tickets! Walking around the ancient city feels like traveling back in time.
Then there is the Daciyan Scenic Area, known as the No. 1 Hanging Temple in the south of the Yangtze River. Half of it is embedded in the belly of the rock, and the other half is soaring over the cliff, giving people the feeling that the cliff is about to collapse under their feet. It is also known as "Little Jiuhua in Western Zhejiang" and is the same venue as in "Celebrating More Than Years 2", making it very suitable for taking photos and checking in.

🚠 Take the cable car up the mountain and feel like you're traveling through the clouds. Stop halfway up the mountain and take in the breathtaking views. The Hanging Temple of Jiangnan is built into the mountainside and is a marvel of nature. Qingyin Pavilion and the Great Hall of Ksitigarbha are half built into the rock and half suspended in the air, which is truly awe-inspiring. There's also the rare golden double-sided Maitreya Buddha, which stands alone on a mountain. Hug the "Buddha's feet" and make a wish.
The most anticipated attraction here is the 700-year-old ginkgo tree. It stands like a kind old man in the river of time. After more than seven centuries of wind and rain, every wrinkle in its bark is engraved with memories of the past, and every golden fan-shaped leaf sways with the charm of history.

Hangzhou Jiande Daci Rock, a great place for leisure hiking!
Daci Rock, known as the first hanging temple in Jiangnan, has a temple half embedded in the rock and half suspended in the air. This is similar to the Hanging Temple in Hengshan, Shanxi, making people marvel at this unique architecture.
The tour route is relatively simple and can be completed in half a day. There is a cable car option to go up the mountain, or you can hike up, with a low difficulty level. You cannot climb further up once you reach the temple halfway up the mountain. Next to the temple is a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree. Turning left here leads to the glass walkway and the downhill slide, while turning right leads to the Double-faced Buddha. It is recommended to visit the Double-faced Buddha first and then return to the glass walkway and slide. Both are separately charged items. If you choose not to visit them, you can hike down the mountain. There is a bus at the scenic area entrance that goes directly to Jiande High-speed Railway Station, but the frequency is low.
The best time to visit is in autumn when the ginkgo leaves cover the ground, making for great photos! In short, Daci Rock is a niche hiking destination and a great place for climbing and praying for blessings!

The scenery along the way is breathtaking, and you can exercise while enjoying the beauty of spring.

In the morning, we stepped into Yanzhou Ancient City, the heart of Meicheng, harboring stories of more than 1700 years. Feeling the weight of history, we strolled through Longshan Academy and climbed the ancient city wall to gaze into the distance.
Afternoon:
In the afternoon, we arrived at Xiaya Wetland Station and started a spring cycling tour! Along the 20-kilometer cycling route, we enjoyed the freshness of nature and the freedom of the wind.
Evening:
As night fell, we walked along the banks of the Xin'an River, admiring the deep blue river and the brilliant night scene. Strolling along, the colorful lights sparkled, and the river shimmered with a kaleidoscope of colors, as if we were in a fairyland.

Jiande | Off-the-beaten-path leisure travel in Zhejiang
Jiande may not be as popular as the nearby Qiandao Lake, Tonglu, or Fuyang, but if you want to avoid the crowds, Jiande is also a great choice.
So, a three-day, two-night leisure trip is arranged.
🚄🚕Transportation: Jiande is suitable for self-driving, but if you don't want to drive yourself, you can also take the high-speed train + taxi. Ride-hailing is easy, and the taxi fare for three days is about 450 yuan.
Xinye Ancient Village: It takes about an hour's drive from Jiande Station/Jiande City to get there. On Friday afternoon, there were hardly any tourists in the village, with less commercialization and many original residents still living there. With white walls and black tiles, horse-head walls, the village's architecture is scattered and orderly, with crisscrossing alleys; ancient pagodas, ancient houses, and ancient ancestral halls bring a sense of age to the village. This tranquil little village is like a paradise, and walking through it, you might think you've arrived in Huizhou. The downside is that it's quite far from Jiande City, but you can visit it together with the nearby Daciyan Scenic Area. The recommended playtime is 2 hours. (We took a taxi directly from Jiande Station to Xinye Ancient Village, and after visiting, we took a taxi back to Jiande City. It's advised to book the return trip in advance)
Yanzhou Ancient City (Meicheng Ancient Town): Meicheng in Jiande is an ancient town with a history of over 1700 years. Ancient residences, city walls, old archways, and delicious food seem to fulfill all expectations of an ancient town. It's very popular, with plenty to see and eat, nestled in the mountains and by the water, with beautiful scenery. The recommended playtime is 2-3 hours. (About 30 minutes by taxi from Jiande City)
Jiuxing Fishing Village: An ancient fishing village at the confluence of three rivers, it is said that Zhu Yuanzhang demoted the defeated troops of Chen Youliang to fishermen, forbidding them to live on land. These subordinates mainly consisted of nine surnames. Unique cultural customs and historical background add a touch of mystery to the village. There's a parking lot at the entrance to the fishing village where external vehicles are not allowed, but there's a shuttle bus that offers free rides into the village. Inside the village, there are art galleries, homestays, coffee shops, farm restaurants, high-altitude drifting, and more. Because it's located at the confluence of the Xin'an River, Fuchun River, and Lanjiang River, the scenery is amazing, and the sunset is beautiful on a clear evening. The recommended playtime is 2 hours. (About 10 minutes by taxi from Meicheng)
Xin'an River Greenway: When visiting Jiande, you must experience the 17-degree summer on the trails along the Xin'an River. There's a long greenway along the river, and we stayed near the Baisha Bridge. In the morning or evening, you can witness the Baisha mist by the river, which is very refreshing when it hits your face, like opening a refrigerator in the summer.
🍜Jiande Cuisine: Local drivers recommended several restaurants, with fish head soup and tofu buns being must-tries. Meicheng Ancient Town also offers fried kueh, Yanzhou crispy cakes, crystal cakes, Sandu mochi, and other delicious snacks.

Da Ci Yan Temple: The only temple in Jiangnan built on the edge of a cliff, known as the 'Hanging Temple of Jiangnan'

The scenery of Jiangnan is usually known for its gentle and beautiful, such as the Hanging Temple and other bold and dangerous buildings are mostly built in the north, it is rare to see in Jiangnan.
Da Ci Yan Temple, located 25 kilometers south of Jiande City, Zhejiang, is the only temple in Jiangnan built on the edge of a cliff. It has the same ingenuity as the Hanging Temple of Hengshan in Shanxi, so it is also known as the 'Hanging Temple of Jiangnan'.
Da Ci Yan was first opened in the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 700 years. Because the temple has been worshiping the King of Ksitigarbha and showing miracles, it is very famous in Zhejiang and Zhejiang, and the incense is very prosperous, known as 'Zhejiang's Little Jiuhua'.
In Da Ci Yan, temples, plank roads, incense corridors, and ropeways all reflect a 'hanging' character. The main temple of the King of Ksitigarbha is half embedded in the rock belly and half hanging in the air, which is quite spectacular.
In the scenic area, there are also attractions such as the main peak of Da Ci Yan, known as the 'First Natural Standing Buddha in China', as well as the Double-faced Buddha, Tianxiang Hanging Corridor, Thousand-year Ginkgo, Yuhua Lake, etc., you might as well go and see.

Jiande niche 2-day tour guide
Dear ones, this time I will take you to explore the beautiful secret realm of Jiande! 🌟
Itinerary:
Day 1: Daciyan——Xin'anjiang Night Tour
In the morning, we will set off for Daciyan. The hanging temple here is built against the mountain, and the corridor is above the cliff. Each step is hollow, and it is very exciting to walk. The double-sided Buddha is very shocking, the view here is wide, and the mountains and rivers are in sight. In addition to the scenery, there are cable cars, glass plank roads, and via experiences, which are very playable!
In the afternoon, we will go to Xin'anjiang. Here, you can take a boat to tour Xin'anjiang and enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides. In the evening, we will watch the immersive live performance "Jiang Qingyue near people". The performance has 5 acts, with wonderful performances and dazzling lights on the scene, you can understand the past and present of Jiande. On the Xin'anjiang River with a constant temperature of 17°C all year round, the evening breeze by the river at night is really cool.
Day 2: Lingqi Cave——Return
In the morning, we will set off for Lingqi Cave. This is the real shooting location of the 86 version of "Journey to the West". There are three caves in the scenic area, and the temperature in the cave is 17°C all year round. The strange stalactites are always amazed by the magic of nature! You can take a small train slide down the mountain, it's as exciting as a roller coaster!
