The Lantern Festival at Daguan Tower: A lantern feast spanning a thousand years
[Fire][Fire][Fire]A feast of lights that spans a thousand years. It is really nice to take photos in the Daguan Tower.
On the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, the Lantern Festival, although the spring weather is still chilly, it cannot stop people’s enthusiasm for appreciating lanterns. At five o'clock in the evening, we followed the bustling crowd into Kunming Daguanlou Park, starting a feast of lights that spanned a thousand years.
Before entering the park, from afar, the Grand View Tower is already bustling with people and full of lights. The vermilion building looks even more majestic under the light, as if an ancient lady in gorgeous clothes is standing quietly by the Dianchi Lake, waiting for tourists to arrive.
Walking into the park, it feels like traveling through time and space, back to the prosperous era when "the east wind blows thousands of flowers in the night." On both sides of the road, lanterns of various shapes and shapes compete with each other in beauty, which is a feast for the eyes. There are cute zodiac rabbit lanterns, lifelike lotus lanterns, and majestic dragon lanterns... Each lantern embodies the wisdom and hard work of the craftsmen, and also carries people's good wishes for the New Year.
Walking through the sea of lights, we arrived at the bottom of the Grand View Tower. Looking up, we saw the flying eaves, brackets, carved beams and painted buildings of the tower, which looked even more magnificent under the outline of the lights. A wonderful folk performance is being performed in the square in front of the building. The dragon and lion dances, the loud gongs and drums, the lively atmosphere; the Yunnan opera lanterns, the melodious singing, the full of charm... The wonderful performances drew cheers from the audience, and also made me feel the strong flavor of the New Year and the charm of traditional culture.
Climb up the stone steps to the Grand View Tower, lean on the railing and look out into the distance, and you will have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Dianchi Lake. The Dianchi Lake sparkles in the night, like a huge piece of black jade, reflecting the lights on both sides of the river, which is breathtakingly beautiful. In the distance, the Sleeping Beauty of Xishan was lying quietly by the lake, as if she was also infected by the lively festive atmosphere and showed a sweet smile.
Of course, during the Lantern Festival, tasting delicious Yuanxiao is a must. At the snack stand in the park, I bought a bowl of steaming Yuanxiao. I took a bite and it was soft, sweet and heart-warming. Eat Yuanxiao, admire the lanterns, listen to laughter, and feel the lights of thousands of homes.
