The Darul Hana Bridge spans over Sarawak River, connecting Kuching Waterfront with Sarawak Legislative Assembly Building (DUN). It is also known as Golden Anniversary Bridge, which is intrinsically linked to the identity of the city. It provides pedestrian access to the city centre attractions such as the Plaza Merdeka shopping mall, the international hotels strip and the cafes at the old Court House. The design is an S-shaped walkway. Its curved plan allows a comfortable walkway gradient that is suitable for access by disabled persons, while still providing sufficient clearance for river vessels to pass beneath it. The designers were able to balance all forces and keep all elements in harmony. This symbolises the state leaders' efforts to bring balance and harmony in a multiracial and multicultural society. Its name is derived from Sarawak's full name Sarawak Darul Hana, which means 'Home to Peace and Tranquility'. Kuching Waterfront’s Darul Hana Musical Fountain. Best place to enjoy sight seeing during nighttime, so many people couples, family and tourists love to come for their own leisure way. Having a lots of stall kiosk selling foods drinks and many activities around the spot. The Darul hana bridge is so beautiful with colours exchanged every second time, have to climb on top and get a better view across the river, Came during the Mooncake Festival, some kids with parents bring lanterns..just fits to reminiscing the moment with so much joy. 📍 Itinerary Overview 1st day after arrived we went to Borneo Cultural Museum. It was a huge place to explore with different attraction at every level. We had to cancel our plan to Bako National Park due to heavy rain but then managed to go Semenggoh Wildlife Center to see Orang Utan🤩 2nd day went to Sarawak Cultural Village and spent the night strolling around Kuching Waterfront after dinner at Hotspot. Plenty of choices, good food that I never get tired of😋 3rd day I brought my family to the India Street for shopping, Kuching monument and last stop to buy Kek Lapis Sarawak before head to the airport. 🏖️ Must-Visit Attractions Sarawak Cultural Village Bako National Park Semenggoh Wildlife Center Borneo Cultural Museum Kuching Waterfront 🚇 Transportation Since I brought my family, I rented a car for 6 of us. Kuching is located in the Eastern Malaysia State of Sarawak. It is known for its diverse and very unique culture compared to the rest of malaysia. Beautiful sights and great food. Sarawak Laksa here is a must try! It is very quiet and peaceful here compared to other malaysian cities such as Kuala Lumpur and Penang but it is still a place I enjoyed very much and I highly recommend you visit too! #bestsunset

My trip to Kuching, Sarawak, was so much fun! The city is full of life, with friendly people, colorful street art, and beautiful views along the Sarawak River. I loved walking along the waterfront, especially at night when the lights from the Darul Hana Bridge and surrounding buildings lit up the city. The best part? The seafood! Kuching is a paradise for seafood lovers. I tried delicious dishes like spicy pepper crabs, juicy prawns, and fresh fish cooked in all sorts of tasty ways. Each meal was a feast, and I couldn’t get enough! Exploring the markets was exciting, too. I found so many cool souvenirs and even tried some local snacks. It is very beautiful and suitable for couples to take a walk and check in. It is equipped with lights at night and 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. There is also a water dancing fountain show next to the bridge, you must go for a walk!
