In order to promote suburban mountains, Taipei City has designed a series of route check-in activities, including the Xiaobaiyue hiking trail and the Taipei Grand Vertical Walk consisting of eight routes, and the Yangmingshan East-West Grand Vertical Walk includes two routes. 🌟 Let’s shorten the route a bit and complete the five mountains in 6-7 hours! The main peak of Datun Mountain is the boundary. The eastern section is a mountaineering trail, and the western section is a wild trail that requires both hands and feet. Fortunately, the weather was good. I started to doubt myself when I went up and down the West Peak. The primitive road of pulling the rope was so hard for me, who was not tall, to manage my legs so tired that I almost lost the support. I am grateful for the encouragement from my partners. When I climbed up to see the beautiful scenery, it was worth it.💕

This visit to Datun Mountain was a feast for the eyes, with vibrant azaleas blooming along the trail in shades of pink, white, and purple. The different varieties intertwined to create a dreamy sea of flowers. Despite the unfavorable weather and thick mist enveloping the mountain, the atmosphere gained an ethereal and mysterious charm. Walking through the mist to admire the flowers added a touch of romance to the experience. As you ascend the stone steps, you occasionally pass through bamboo groves and stop at small viewing platforms to take in the pure beauty of nature. [Transportation to Datun Mountain] Starting from the city center, you can take a bus to the "Yangmingshan Bus Terminal" and transfer to the 108 shuttle bus. Get off at "Anbu Station," and after a short walk, you'll reach the trailhead. The convenient transportation makes it perfect for a day trip, whether with family or friends. Highly recommended!

Erziping Trail starts from the Erziping Visitor Center and follows an accessible path to Erziping. The distance is only 1.8K, making it an easy walk that takes just over 20 minutes. The Datun Mountain Trail begins on the Datun Mountain Road, passing two turns before entering a bamboo grove at a large bend. This connects to the stairway trail leading to the main peak of Datun Mountain. You can choose to continue to the main peak, but it is all stairs. Just look up, and you will see the main peak of Datun Mountain (elevation 1092 meters) directly ahead, making the goal very clear. Datun Mountain has a second-class triangulation point that is not accessible to the general public. Not far from the main peak, there is an observation deck where you can overlook Zhuzihu, immersing yourself in a misty fairyland where all worries are forgotten!
