Departing from Changsha for 2 hours, to see the mountains, the waters, and oneself
I am a person who is utterly mundane, seeing mountains as mountains, seas as seas, and flowers as flowers.
But upon seeing you, the clouds begin to surge, the river tides swell, and the tiny antennae of insects scratch the itch of the entire world.
You don't need to speak, and I, along with all things between heaven and earth, will all rush towards you.
—Wang Xiaobo 'Loving You is Like Loving Life'
Life is not a track, it is a wilderness.
If the heart yearns, why fear the long and obstructed path.
Dawei Mountain is located at the junction of Hunan and Jiangxi in the eastern part of Liuyang, bordering Tonggu of Jiangxi to the east, Wan Zai to the south, and Pingjiang to the north. The peaks wind their way through, with layers of mountains and ridges, winding for more than 150 kilometers, hence the name Dawei.
It includes many scenic areas such as Qixingling, Limuqiao, Wuzhishan, and Hongliansi. At the top of Qixing Peak, there is the famous source of the Liuyang River, and it is also home to one of the five great azalea seas, the Liuyangyuan Flower Sea.
However, it is regrettable that the much-anticipated azalea sea has not yet bloomed, and the green leaves are about to grow.
·The five great flower seas are: Qixing Flower Sea, Liuyangyuan Flower Sea, Jiebei Flower Sea, Yunjin Flower Sea, and Wuzhishi Flower Sea.
The highest peak, Qixing Peak, has an altitude of 1608 meters and features an observation deck where you can see the sea of clouds. On a clear day, you should be able to see very far. Also, from Qixingling, you can hike to other scenic spots such as Yuquan Lake and Tianxing Bridge.
Departing from Changsha for 2 hours, you can see the mountains, the waters, empty your mind, introspect, and see oneself amidst the world.
