I was genuinely astonished by how cold this desert in January is. It was 13 degrees celsius. I sure wasn't prepared as I thought that it would be extremely hot in the desert. Boy, I was wrong! Good thing that there are boutiques in the area where I could buy souvenirs, scarfs, etc. I especially enjoyed the heart-racing dune bashing! The traditional Tanoura dancer spun endlessly in a whirl of colors, while the fire show had everyone on the edge of their seats. You can explore the aquarium or just enjoy the partial view for free from cafe/ gift shop downstairs. If you have time explore the Burj Al Arab as well. Day 8: relax before flying out. Tips: Sunscreen Try exploring outside area in the evening and stay indoors during the day to avoid heat. Dont forget your daily prayers. All places have prayers rooms in them, so utilise that. We were picked up at the hotel and drove for about an hour. We drove through the desert on a tour. Driving through the desert took longer than we expected, so we recommend taking motion sickness medicine! After that, we headed to the dinner venue. While we were driving through the desert on the way there, it felt strange to be driving through a world I'd never seen before! From the time we arrived at the dinner venue until we left, we had a lot of free time, so we had Arabic coffee, rode camels, and even had time to see the sunset. We ate, watched dance shows, and enjoyed many other activities. It gets a little cold at night, so it's a good idea to bring an ultralight down jacket or something!
