I carefully walked around the paved corridors and enjoyed seeing the different types of fish and aquatic plants. There was a large basin with many rare aquatic plants, which took a lot of time to study and learn about. What I loved was the center's clear efforts to maintain this unique natural location. I spent hours learning about these amazing plants. I left feeling relaxed and deeply knowledgeable about this beautiful water world. My visit to Okcheon Aquatic Plant Learning Center was a fruitful and relaxing experience for the soul.. 📍

#wintertrip Of note is a small chapel built on the hill by the building that looks like a castle. On March 28, 2009, a large forest fire broke out here. The use of fire extinguishers proved unsuccessful and it seemed hopeless. Then suddenly, Jesus appeared out of the flames wearing a purple cloth on his shoulder. He prevented the fire from spreading. The witness who was suffering from shingles and severe pain was completely cured. This chapel was erected in commemoration of the event. For location is 255 Bangasil-gil, Gunbuk-myeon, Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.

#wintertrip Located at the heart of Daecheong Lake, The Aquatic Plant Learning Center is a lovely place for a walk among the gardens with views of the lake. Opened in 2003, the center consists of five households which cultivate, propagate and distribute aquatic plants. In 2008, it was designated by the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education as an experimental learning center. General admission is 6,000 won and easily enjoyed for the gardens on the property.
