Nanjing university students visited Wuxi on a scorching hot day, and it was insanely hot. 1⃣️ Got up at 6:30 in the morning to catch the high-speed train 🚅 from Nanjing South at around 8:00 (really sleepy, could hardly open my eyes, you guys don't need to get up so early because it might not take that long). 2⃣️ After arriving in Wuxi, you can store your luggage first (here directly at the subway 🚇 station for free, don't look for luggage lockers, they are really unreliable). The spirit of "reading, lecturing, and patriotism" advocated by Donglin Academy once aroused a nationwide response from scholars in the late Ming Dynasty, making the academy famous; the academy was the gathering place and source of the "Donglin Party" members in the late Ming Dynasty party struggle, and was the focus of national politics at the time, and also the main opinion center for discussing national affairs in the Jiangnan region. Due to the profound cultural history of Donglin Academy, it has been announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Donglin Academy, located at No. 867 Jiefang East Road, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, also known as Guishan Academy, is one of the famous ancient academies in China. The main buildings from south to north are the stone archway, Donglin Jing She, Lize Hall, Yiyong Hall, Yanju Temple, Sāngōng Temple; the east road from north to south are the former site of Donglin Nunnery, Huanjing Pavilion, Daonan Shrine, Zhengxin Pavilion; the west road from north to south are Xinjian Studio, Xunle Place, Laifu Studio, Wancui Mountain House; there are ponds and other landscapes on both sides of the academy.

Donglin Academy, located at No. 867 Jiefang East Road, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, is one of the famous ancient academies in China. Donglin Academy was founded in the first year of the Northern Song Dynasty, i.e., 1111 AD, and was the place where the well-known scholar Yang Shi lectured for a long time. In the 32nd year of the Ming Dynasty Wanli, i.e., 1604 AD, it was restored and lectured by Donglin scholars such as Gu Xiancheng. They advocated the spirit of "reading, lecturing, and patriotism", which aroused the general response of scholars across the country, and their reputation was great. The famous couplet written by Gu Xiancheng, "The sound of wind, rain, and reading enters the ear, and the affairs of the family, the country, and the world are in the heart", is well-known and has inspired many intellectuals, greatly promoting the development of traditional Chinese cultural thought. It is praised as "the first academy in the world is Donglin". The current Donglin Academy is open to tourists for free, and there are many cultural and creative foods inside.

Wuxi's first stop, Donglin Academy. Gu Xiancheng, a Donglin party member, fought with the eunuch party for forty years, and the result was the downfall of the Ming Dynasty. There are not many architectural features, various national studies projects are added wherever possible, it is understandable without ticket income. The small layout of the garden can take the appearance of Suzhou gardens. The politics and historical changes of the time are much more valuable than the architectural value. On the west side of the south gate, there is a deeds hall of academician Wang Xuan. At first, I thought it was about the deeds of a martyr I didn't understand. When I went in, I realized it was a scientist who made Chinese characters possible in the Internet age.
