Dongsi Hutong is a hutong with the characteristics of old Beijing. On the east of Dongsi North Street Road, there are 14 hutongs named "Dongsi Toutiao" to "Dongsi Tiaotiao" from south to north. The history of this street can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty. It belonged to Yinbinfang and Jurenfang in the Yuan Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, it was renamed Sichengfang and Nanjuxianfang. In the Qing Dynasty, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Zhengbaiqi. In the "Jingshi Wucheng Fangxiang Hutong Collection" in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, there are already records of Dongsi "Toutiao Hutong" to "Sitiao Hutong". In the "Jingshifang Lane Chronicle" in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, the number of hutongs called "A certain strip in the East Four" was increased to "Twelve". When Beijing sorted out the place names in 1965, the two hutongs to the north of the "Twelve Articles" were also changed to "Thirteen Articles" and "Fourteen Articles" in turn.
