[2025 Cairns Stay] Travel Guide for DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns (Updated Apr)

DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns is located just a block or two away from the center of Cairns. It is very close to the Cairns Aquarium. There is a paid parking lot under the hotel, but the street parking in front is free. If you are driving, the free parking is highly recommended if available. There was a Japanese staff member at the front desk, although not always. In addition to the front desk, the lobby has a restaurant, a tour desk, and a garden with a pond that has several large koi fish. Upon check-in, you will receive a warm cookie as a welcome gift. The hotel has many rooms and looks somewhat like an apartment building at first glance. It is clean but shows some signs of age. The bathroom has a bathtub, and the toiletries are from Crabtree & Evelyn. As of February 2025, the pool is under renovation, but guests can use the Hilton pool instead. I wanted to go, but I didn't have time, so I had to give up. The renovation of the public spaces is expected to continue until July 31, 2025. The DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns where I stayed during my stay in Cairns was a resort hotel with an excellent location✨ Located about 10 minutes by car from the airport, along the Esplanade, it is very convenient as it is within walking distance of the lagoon pool and restaurants🚶♂️🌊 A nice point is that they give you their famous chocolate chip cookies🍪 when you check in! The staff are also friendly and make you feel like you are in a resort🌺 The rooms are clean and spacious🛏️ There are also rooms with ocean views overlooking the Coral Sea from the window, and the sunrises and sunsets were very beautiful🌅✨ In the center of the hotel is a courtyard surrounded by tropical plants, and you can enjoy a tropical atmosphere🌿 Breakfast is buffet style, with a wide variety of fruits, breads, and hot meals🍳🥐 You can relax by the poolside or consult the tour desk about sightseeing in the Great Barrier Reef and Kuranda🏝️🚠 It was a comfortable hotel that was perfect as a base for sightseeing, and I enjoyed my stay in Cairns even more! #Australia #trip accommodation report

Got warm cookies on arrival what a treat, fast check in and good sized rooms specailly after our recent trip to Japan.Very Very friendly staff quick to help.Breakfast had lot of variety and was very filling did not have any other meals.Also rooms were very tidy and had a great view.Close to the harbour for boats to Great Barrier Reef. Good Gym Facilities.Overall great stay and had a good time.Keep similing double tree.
