The main shopping street leads to the waterfront where you find the main railway and ferry terminals, both stunning buildings over 100 years old. Queen street itself is lined with beautiful art deco buildings that used to house the many department stores that dominated in their day. With the boom of the 1990s there has been various new landmarks added like the glass skyscrapers and of course the sky tower - Auckland’s main landmark. Be sure to check out the smaller side streets that span off the main shopping street as they have many coffee shops, charity shops and independent fashion stores.
