#foodie The environment of Dulan Cape Café is very comfortable, facing a large grassland and the sea outside. The food is delicious, and the taste of the Spanish seafood stew and snacks is almost the same as what I had when I traveled to Spain before.

📅 Itinerary ☀️Day1: (Arrived in afternoon): I went to the Wave Cafe to read and watch the ocean. The weather wasn't very good that day, but the seats were covered and it's still fun to sit there and people watch. If it's busy, the Coconut cafe nearby is another good option, but personally I prefer the food at Wave cafe better Evening - checked into hotel, did some shopping at Showtime and watched a movie ☀️ Day2: Morning: lazy morning followed by breakfast and coffee at Starbucks (quick walk from my hotel) and then drive to Dulan beach Afternoon: chilled on the beach, read a book, watched surfers. There's two convenience stores nearby so it's very easy to get drinks and snacks for lunch. Evening: back to the city center, had dinner at the night market, walked around Tiehua Music Village visiting different stalls ☀️ Day3: Morning: went to a breakfast shop that had Hong Kong style toast for beakfast and then went back to the beach in Doulan. The city js very slow, chill, no one's in a rush and there's not a lot of options. If you go into it knowing that and being ok with it - it's fantastic. Beautiful views. Beautiful beaches. This was my first time solo-travel to Taitung. It is a beautiful place that I will visit again and again. I made a lot of good friends at the hostel and during the swim in the ocean. I love the view on the way here by train, and I love that how the eastern Taiwan still preserves nature really well. You get to taste the rawness and beauty of nature but also the warmness from the people there. 📍East Coast Fugang Geopark (Xiaoyeliu) It’s a very good place if you are interested in geology and want to learn more about the geography in Taiwan. There are also many beautiful rocks. It is a place that brings you peace and tranquility. 📍Dulan Sugar Factory Café and Art Gallery You can see the sugar factory and learn about the history of the old age. There is also a lot of indigenous art work displayed there. 🌊Most of the time here I spent time with my friends in the ocean swimming and surfing. I actually don’t know how to surf, so I just tumbled in the water lol but I love ocean and water, so I had a great time there. 🌿I also had the chance to join a chanting meditation at Taitung Xiao Ma at 森林四季 📍2827+FXW 信義里 Taitung County, Chenggong Township You can take a bus to Xiao Ma bridge and walk a bit uphill to get there. 🥯Marino‘s Kitchen They have the best bread in this region! They also have hibiscus juice, which is locally grown in Taitung, so it’s really healthy. 📍959, Taitung County, Donghe Township, 436-3號 🏡Accomodation: WaGaLiGong They provide not only hostel but also service like surfing and SUP course. You can also rent surfing boards there. People who want to do work-exchange are also welcome there. We pulled over at this scenic coffeeshop on Taiwan’s east coast. It’s called Cape Cafe. Here, you can enjoy a delicious espresso and cake while enjoying beautiful scenes such as these. They also have small oceanside bungalows for those who wish to stay the night, as well as an outdoor swimming pool you can use for free if you buy a coffee. Highly recommended as a stopover for those touring the east coast!
