🌄Morning: 🎬8:00 AM – Depart from Sydney Drive or take the train from Sydney Central Station to Katoomba (about 2 hours). 🚗If driving, park at Scenic World (free parking available). 10:00 AM – Arrive at Scenic World Purchase an unlimited ride pass for access to all attractions. 🚟Start with the Scenic Skyway, which offers breathtaking views of the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, and Jamison Valley. 10:30 AM – Explore the Scenic Walkway 🎢Take the Scenic Railway, the world’s steepest passenger railway, down into the valley (the most thrilling ride 10/10 😬 - picture 3 I definitely screamed my ❤️ out for the ride) 🥾Walk along the Scenic Walkway, a 2.4 km trail through lush rainforest with historical mining sites. 🕛Midday: 🍽️12:00 PM – Lunch at Scenic World Eat at the Terrace Café, which has panoramic views of the mountains. Alternatively, bring your own picnic and find a scenic spot nearby. 🚡1:00 PM – Ride the Scenic Cableway Take the Scenic Cableway, the steepest aerial cable car in the Southern Hemisphere, back up to the main Scenic World complex. Afternoon: 🏞️1:30 PM – Visit Echo Point & Three Sisters (picture 1) Drive or take the local bus to Echo Point Lookout for the best views of the Three Sisters. Take the short Three Sisters Walk for a closer look at the rock formations. If you're up for a challenge, walk down the Giant Stairway (998 steps - picture 6) into the valley and return via the Federal Pass walking track to Scenic World. (Note: This will take about 2–3 hours; if you prefer a lighter option, explore nearby lookouts instead.) 3:00 PM – Visit Leura Village Head to Leura, a charming nearby town known for its heritage-style shops, bakeries, and gardens. Enjoy an afternoon coffee or treat at a local café, such as Leura Garage or Josophan’s Fine Chocolates. Explore boutique stores and pick up souvenirs or local crafts. 4:30 PM – Begin Return to Sydney Drive or take the train back to Sydney, arriving around 6:30 PM. When I visited Echo Point in Australia, the natural scenery there was truly overwhelming. In particular, I was able to take in the surrounding scenery at a glance while riding the monorail. The harmony of the lush forest and the endless valley was fantastic. My grandparents really loved it😍🩷 At the Echo Point lookout, I could see the magnificent scenery of the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters, and I felt as if my mind was purified by the peace that nature gave me. Just being in the middle of nature with the cool breeze made me feel like my travel fatigue was gone. The Three Sisters is an attraction in Katoomba, the heart of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains and the gateway to this spectacular natural attraction in NSW, Australia. It is an iconic formation standing proudly in the land of the Gundungurra and Darug People, the traditional custodians of this declared Aboriginal Place. The Three Sisters is best seen from Echo Point lookout, on the edge of the plateau above. These three weathered sandstone peaks, formed thousands of years ago through erosion, are set among the cliffs of the Jamison Valley. The most convenient and hassle free way to get to the Blue Mountains is via train which takes 2 hours from Sydney Central Station. Trains depart Sydney Central Station every half hour until 9am, then every hour afterwards. Once you’re in Katoomba, you can buy the Hop on Hop off Bus from the Tourist Information Centre opposite the Katoomba train station. It takes you to Echo Point and other attractions in the Blue Mountains. A much cheaper option is taking public bus that also goes around the same attractions every half hour between each stops using the Opal travel card. It will take about 3 hours to cover all the attractions in the Blue mountains so it’s best to go early and return to Katoomba for lunch at one of the lovely restaurants or cafes before getting back on the train to Sydney.
