Just returned from a trip to Saudi Arabia, finally checked off the country of wealth from my bucket list, and found that it was quite different from my stereotype. Take Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, for example. It is a modern city with a "money" power that rises in the heart of the desert. I have summarized 6 must-visit places in and around the city. If you are planning a trip, you can go directly after reading this guide! ▫️ 💚%Arabica It is said to be the largest %Arabica in the world. Most malls and restaurants in Riyadh open after 12:00 pm, but this coffee shop opens at 7:00 am. If you want to take photos with no one around, I suggest you go early. The interior of the building is pure white, which looks very stylish. It has two floors, with a U-shaped coffee bar in the atrium, a glass curtain wall of the roasting workshop, and a viewing seat upstairs, all of which are great for taking photos. ▫️ 💚Kingdom Tower It is currently the tallest building in Riyadh, and it looks like a bottle opener from a distance (friends from Shanghai should understand, haha). The shape of the building is designed to withstand the wind and sand in the desert and to resemble the way locals dress in robes. The Kingdom Tower has 99 floors in total, and the sky bridge on the top floor offers a panoramic view of Riyadh. ▫️ 💚National Museum Museum lovers should not miss it. My main purpose for visiting Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was for a business trip, so I didn't have much time to go out. It is famous for its "spectacular" appearance in the desolate wilderness, especially at sunset, when the golden sun shines on the cliff, giving people a sense of desolation at the end of the world. It takes about two hours to drive from the city center, and the road is not very easy to drive. The last part of the road is directly on the Gobi Desert, which is very bumpy, so if you have elderly people, you may want to consider it carefully. There is a place to rest and go to the bathroom halfway, and this is the only place to rest. Once you enter the Gobi Desert, there are no rest stops or stores. When you arrive, you will really feel that it is worth the trip. A tour of the spectacular desert scenery that can be reached by car in about 2 hours northwest from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The cheapest tours cost around 7,000 to 15,000 yen. Edge of the world is located some 100km NW from the capital of KSA Riyadh. Up to about 30km, road is good, until you reach tarmac road. Even that road is not that bad, there a few spots that are not drivable without a 4x4 or at least higher car. I ventured with a regular small car, and was eventually stopped some 5km before goal. Luckily a group picked me up and drove me to the final spot. Pictures I did, do net give the spot the right justice, it is magnificent, and definitely worth the trip.

During my trip to Saudi Arabia during the National Day holiday, the place that left a deep impression on me was of course the Cliff of the World. Usually attractions with "world" in the title make me feel flashy, but this place really surprised me. Is Cliff of the World worth it after being asked in the circle of friends? Some people say that it’s just a bunch of Gobi deserts, and there’s nothing you can’t see. Some people say that the sunset in the desert is desolate and beautiful, but this trip still lives up to it. Regarding the ✅ and ❌ of World Cliff, I have summarized them below. As for whether it is worth it or not, you can weigh it yourself. ▫️ 🚗The Cliff of the World is about a 2-hour drive from downtown Riyadh. There is no public transportation to reach it. It is usually recommended to charter a car or join a local group. 🏃Route: Riyadh-Local Ancient Village-Bat Cave-Cliff of the World 🌟Notes: 1️⃣It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the parking point to the Cliff of the World viewing point. There is sand and dust all the way, and it is very sunny. It is recommended that everyone wear sun protection, wear a hat and sunglasses, and prepare a bottle of water, otherwise you will be very thirsty. 2️⃣ It is not recommended to drive by yourself, because the second half of the journey from Riyadh to Cliff of the World is completely bumpy dirt road, and there is no signal. People who get motion sickness will doubt their life. 👉The scenic spots we passed on the way, the ancient village and the Bat Cave, are not good for anyone who goes there. The ancient village is just a bunch of abandoned houses without any maintenance. I didn’t see a single one 🦇 inside the Bat Cave, and it was very hot. 👉After struggling for so long, the time to wait for the sunset at the Cliff of the World was very short, probably less than an hour, so the drive back and forth took 4 hours, and most of it was bumpy on the dirt road... ▫️ Anyway, if you travel to Riyadh, Cliff of the World is still the most worthwhile place in my mind. If you have enough time, I still recommend going there. After all... you have come!
