This Michelin-recommended restaurant and bistro on the banks of the Danube is full of surprises from its interior decoration. The space is like a white cave, with modern and low-key decorations, and the whole thing is full of texture. MÁK restaurant's creative seasonal menu uses local Hungarian ingredients, seasoned and presented with a French touch. The three of us ordered three steak dishes, steak, cod fillet and Iberian pork. The presentation of the dishes was a work of art, the texture and seasoning were fresh and delicious, and paired with white wine, it was a delicious and enjoyable meal. The Fisherman’s Bastion sitting high on the hill and overlooking the Danube river and historic bridges that join the once separated Buda & Pest, was pure beauty. It’s no wonder many couples could be seen taking their wedding shots there. It’s highly recommended to come here during the blue hours before sun even rises; the tone of the building could quickly turn orangish in an hour or so.
