Dali | Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, and a Windy Place
Hey guys, Dali is a place you can never get tired of visiting! Today, I'm going to share my Dali travel guide with you. Let's go on a windy trip together.
👗What to Wear:
Dali is like spring all year round, but the temperature difference between day and night is a bit large. You can bring a few beautiful dresses, which are perfect for taking photos during the day, and a thin coat to wear in the morning and evening. Ethnic-style shawls are also recommended, as they are both stylish and warm, and create a great atmosphere for photos. In terms of color, bright colors such as white, red, and yellow will stand out against the blue sky and white clouds of Dali, and will look great in photos.

Then rent a scooter and go to Panxi Village S Bend, where you can ride along Erhai Lake and enjoy the beautiful lake view. In the afternoon, head to Xizhou Ancient Town to see the largest and best-preserved Bai-style residential buildings and try Xizhou Baba.
Day 2: Shuanglang Ancient Town → Nanzhao Island
In the morning, go to Shuanglang Ancient Town, stroll along the streets by Erhai Lake, and find a seaside cafe to sit and enjoy a leisurely time. In the afternoon, take a boat to Nanzhao Island, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and take photos at many photo spots.

🎯Things to Do:
You must try cycling around Erhai Lake, riding slowly along the lake and feeling the embrace of the wind. You can also try tie-dyeing and make a unique tie-dye work by yourself. If you like excitement, don't miss the cable car on Cangshan Mountain, where you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Dali, which is very impressive!
📸Photo Spots:
Panxi Village S Bend: One of the most popular photo spots in Dali. Rent a colorful bicycle and take photos at the S Bend, and you'll get great photos in no time.
Xizhou Ancient Town Rice Fields: Especially in autumn, the golden rice fields and the distant Cangshan Mountain complement each other, which is very healing.
Shuanglang Ancient Town by Erhai Lake: There are many viewing platforms extending into the sea, which are perfect for taking photos. No matter how you take photos, they will have a strong holiday vibe.
Nanzhao Island Beach: The white sand and clear lake water make you feel like you are on an island.
Longkan Wharf: A great place to watch the sunrise. The morning light and shadow on the lake are beautiful.
🍱Recommended Food:
• Crispy Baba: Available in sweet and salty flavors, with a crispy crust and a soft filling. It tastes best when it's just out of the oven.
• Rice Noodles: Soft and glutinous, served with delicious soup and various seasonings. A bowl of rice noodles for breakfast is very satisfying.
• Grilled Milk Fan: Full of milky flavor and sweet. You can add rose sauce, which has a unique taste, but some people may not be used to it.
• Wild Mushroom Hot Pot: A must-try in Dali. Various mushrooms are cooked together, which is very delicious, but be sure to cook them thoroughly, otherwise you may get poisoned.
🏠Recommended Accommodation:
👉Dali Erhai Shiguang Seaview Inn: This inn is located by Erhai Lake, in a great location, and most rooms have direct views of Erhai Lake. The rooms are decorated in a simple modern style, clean and tidy, and fully equipped. The highlight is a beautiful sea view terrace, where you can enjoy the breeze and watch the stars at night, which is very pleasant.
⚠Notes:
The ultraviolet rays in Dali are very strong, so be sure to take sun protection measures, such as sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats. The temperature difference between day and night is large, so pay attention to adding or removing clothes to avoid catching a cold. Be careful and obey traffic rules when cycling around Erhai Lake. If you go to Cangshan Mountain, check the weather in advance and choose the right cable car.
In short, Dali is a poetic and romantic place where you can slow down and enjoy the beauty of life. Pack your bags and head to Dali.
