Yamanashi Fuefukigawa Onsen Zabou I really wanted to stay in this extremely popular room with an open-air garden bath, so I made a reservation quite some time ago 🥺♡ When I went to a winery in Niigata, Zabou in Yamanashi was also a candidate, but all the other rooms were full and I couldn't get any. I've been hoping to go there for a long time 🤩 The two rooms, Kotokawa and Tsuzumikawa, face this Japanese garden. There is food in the room, and when you look into the pond, the carp gather around. It was an amazing room where you can feed the carp while taking a bath on the terrace or in the open-air bath in your room. There are rooms that do not allow children, but this room is OK for children. There are dorayaki in the room ♪ It seems that a pair of ducks have been living here for a long time 🦆🦆 They croak when they're hungry ☺️ So cute 💕 For meals, walk through the garden and through the detached building. Only two groups were seated at the spacious counter. The menu was carefully handwritten by the owner. The dishes were heartfelt. It was a very kind and happy meal. Since it is a guesthouse of Maruki Winery, we paired the meal with wine. Japanese food and wine 🍷 After the meal, we read books in the library and compared wines again. They also have Japanese black tea 🫖 For breakfast, we again went through the garden to the old house. There were many other delicious things to eat along with the soba noodles that the owner made that morning. Check-out was at 12 o'clock, so we were able to spend a very relaxing time. Founded in 1330, it was the family temple of Takeda Shingen, the famous warlord who ruled Kai Province (present-day Yamanashi) from 1540 to 1573. The temple grounds are quiet and peaceful with many beautiful sights, starting with the tree-lined approach path (sando). This approach leads from the black Somon Gate to the Kaizando Hall and other temple buildings; the gates along the path are perfectly aligned to frame the Kaizando Hall as you approach. Many of the buildings burned down in 1905, but the bright red Shikyakumon Gate survives. The prestigious Shikyakumon was commissioned in 1606 by Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa shogunate that ruled Japan from 1603 to 1867. The gate is the oldest surviving structure in the shrine and is considered an Important Cultural Property.

This hot spring facility is located on the way to Kamikawahi Pass, the trailhead for Mt. Daibosatsu. Here you can enjoy one of Japan's most alkaline hot springs. The water itself should be smooth, but because it is alkaline, it feels slippery when you use it. It warms you to the core, and is said to have skin-beautifying effects. #0yentravel Keitokuin Temple is known as the final resting place of Takeda Katsuyori, and is located in a quiet area in the mountains about 3km from Kai-Yamato Station on the Chuo Main Line. There were few people around, and the moss-covered stone monuments and cedar groves stood silently. As the place where Katsuyori and his family spent their final moments, there was a heavy and tranquil atmosphere, and I naturally straightened my back. Standing in front of the tomb, the image of a defeated warlord comes to mind, different from the glamorous image of the Warring States period. It was a place where I could feel a chapter of history.
