Hello, today I will share an overview of Brunei and my experience of my first trip to Brunei. Before going, you must have the Bruhealth app and fill out an E-Arrival form. You must have a clear accommodation, a return flight ticket, and specify the date. Then they will ask how much money you have with you, including both your card and cash!! Brunei does not have Grab. There is only Dash, which is a bit expensive. Actually, many things here are expensive. A can of Coke costs $1. In restaurants, it will be around $2-$4Bnd. The currency here is Singapore (SGD). What I noticed is that there seems to be no scanning to pay. There is only card payment (like ATMs in our country). There is the BIBD app for people here. Brunei's national food is Ambuyat - Ambuyat is a sticky sago flour that you roll with chopsticks and dip in a sauce made with durian. Then you can swallow it. Other things are eaten with fried fish, stir-fried vegetables, and sambal, which is similar to shrimp paste chili sauce, but it is more sour in their country. Banda Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, one of the 10 ASEAN countries, is 1 hour ahead of Thailand. Their country is very strict about the law. It's definitely not scary if we do it correctly. I'll go back again. 🤍🤍🤍🤍 I like it a lot. There aren't many tourists, but you can see some of them. I think they're from many countries, but it's not like Malaysia. In Malaysia, you'll see many people working there, like in Singapore. But Brunei is all Bruneian people. Very worth a reasonable lunch set for $7.90 on weekdays.My go-to order is definitely their salad with roasted pork , you can never go wrong with that! Nice cosy restaurant serving different kinds of roast and grilled meats.The foods are good and tasty. Portion is just right.

First thing you will be surprised is in fact they almost have NO public transport in the city. Everyone has their own cat to o around the city. This one that makes me frustrated as a tourist 😆 what a thrill hahaha Secondly, you can absolutely use Singapore Dollars as well for any transaction in the country as they have signed a memorandum for both country to use SGD currency in the country that is legal. You get to build your own meal—feel like having some grains with meat and veggies? They’ve got an excellent variety. Just want proteins alone? Go for it! This is my 1st trip there. It was recommended by my friend. The cakes are generous in size and yummy. The Barrista is very friendly. What a little gem of a cafe, great coffee, great vibe and lovely staff!

#hiddengems Phong Mun is the oldest Chinese restaurant (non halal)in town, specializing in Chinese cuisine. They have a wide range of dishes including roasted meats & dim sum, and can prepare special banquets(with advance notice). Many local Chinese consider dim sum the best in town. One of my favorites there is their Dim Sum, the dim sum with pork skin. This is one of those Chinese Restaurants that maintains its standard and quality of food over the past many decades, though the place and deco is a bit tired. There are fine views overlooking the water village. Highly recommended !

This place opens at 7am has a range of breakfast options. Food is delicious. Usually full house with limited tables. We tried fried rice and Shakshouka with lamb. The fried rice is super yummy and Shakshouka with lamb is above average. We tried vegetarian Shakshouka, it was awesome. Most tables were booked and reserved for lunch as early as 10am . Highly recommended.

#weekendgetaways This bridge is Brunei's Icon.It is named after Queen Saleh (wife of the present sultan). It was officially opened on October 14, 2017, as part of the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Sultan government. An awesome structure here in Brunei. Fantastic view from the bridge. There's a pedestrian walkway on both sides of the bridge for those who prefer to cross on foot. We cross it via walking during sunset. It connects the inland village and capital of the country. It helps the growth of both places and saves travel time for the citizens. Great place for photoshooting for Kampong ayer scenery and city life. Highly recommended.

The menu had a good variety, and the service was quick. We like their mapo tofu and pork ribs. Authentic taste and great ambience.The staff are friendly. The food selection is not too bad – you have choices of western and Asian dishes. Lovely ambience, love their lunch set! The variety they offer is impressive, and each loaf is baked so good. The aroma alone is enough to make your mouth water. #exploreasia Just 11.5km away from Brunei International Airport, this palace is the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, and the seat of the Brunei government. The palace is located on a leafy, riverside sprawl of hills on the banks of the Brunei River. This palace is the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. One of friends of mine saying that this palace is a must pitstop when you are in Brunei. We are waiting for the royal’s family at the main gate but too bad they did not show up that day. However, we are so amazed with this palace. It is very big and it was surrounding with great landscapes over the gate. This huge palace just located besides the main road. When I craving for Vietnamese Cuisine, I look for Pho Hoa Restaurant. I go there for breakfast and brunch, as they are open at 9.30am. Their Vietnamese cuisine is delicious and authentic.
