Location: Osaka Expo 70 Commemorative Park Do drop by here if you are chasing cherry blossom in Osaka. We reached at 10am and there wasnt much crowd. There are countless cherry blossom trees here and the park also has other flower such as tulips. We did what japanese does which is to picnic! No worries about preparing your own food as thrre is a 7-11 right where you alight at the station. Entrance fee applies but it isnt expensive. There is also a big mall right beside the station. The purpose of the visit was to see Japan's largest seafood cuisine festival held from March 17th to 21st and to see the inside of the Tower of the Sun. However, tickets for the Tower of the Sun were sold out in the morning. I had sea urchin and Hokkaido beef sushi while watching the cherry blossoms at the Expo Commemoration Park Sakura Festival, which was held at the same time. The museum shop inside the Tower of the Sun was limiting the number of people, but entry was free, so I went there. I was able to get a sense of what art and Taro Okamoto are. I bought a dog flowerpot pouch for 3,850 yen.
