Fairmont Wuhan, a truly luxurious hotel in Wuhan!
Fairmont Wuhan is the first truly international luxury hotel in Wuhan. Fairmont’s interior design uses classic black and white as the main colors of the hotel’s overall design. It is low-key and elegant, and is embellished with different colors. Simply put, it is black and white plus one color. Such a superb combination makes the hotel space both modern and fashionable, and also steady and classic, achieving a good integration and balance.
1. I like the hotel lobby very much. Black and white runs through the entire space. It is very simple and modern. There are no crystal chandeliers, no lace, and no excessive decorations. The entire volume, size space ratio, and structural proportion are completely Western-style proportions, creating a solemn and classical atmosphere. But with Chinese-style couches and screens to complement the space, as well as flowers and green plants, the whole lobby is really beautiful.
2. The screen in the center of the lobby is the treasure of the lobby. The pattern on the screen is rivers, which echoes Wuhan’s nickname “the thoroughfare of nine provinces” and reflects the development of water transportation and other transportation. This screen work comes from New York artist Nancy Lorenz, who is very fond of the craftsmanship and materials of traditional Asian art. The work is made of a mixed inlay of platinum leaf, mother of pearl, glass, plaster base powder, lacquerware, etc. The owner bought it for over two million.
3. In the lobby bar, green is matched with black and white, mainly reflected in the curtains and sofa cushions. Green embellishments create a sense of freshness and brighten the space. There is a glass cover-like setting in the middle of the lobby bar, with a fireplace (electronic fire) underneath, which also serves as a decoration. Inside the glass cover is a Chinese-style carving. The flower is the plum blossom, which "has no intention of struggling for spring, and lets all the flowers be jealous." Plum blossom is the city flower of Wuhan, and it echoes the Wuhan elements very well.
4. The plum blossoms are not only carved on the glass, but also blooming on the background wall of the concierge desk. If you look carefully, you will find that the lights above the concierge desk and the front desk are treated in a very special way. These crystal chandeliers are not completely exposed, but covered with a translucent cover, which ensures the light source and lighting function without being too glittering. Such simplicity is in keeping with the style of the lobby.
5. In addition to Wuhan elements such as rivers, plum blossoms, the Yellow Crane Tower is inevitably reflected. But the interpretation method is quite different and unconventional. The designer laid the Yellow Crane Tower directly on the ground and selected the texture of the Yellow Crane Tower's guardrail, which appears as black and white lines. This texture is similarly presented in many spaces in the hotel. From the elevator lobby to the guest bathroom, its proportions, sizes and colors are different, but the overall texture is the same.
6. In the hotel’s Chinese restaurant “Jiangcheng Zao”, you can also see elements related to Wuhan. On the glass screens between the seating area and the private rooms are Han Show flying cranes, which are plump and lifelike, and have the beautiful meaning of wealth and longevity. The details of the restaurant's decoration are also carefully made. There are Chinese knots on the backs of the seats and on the overhead lights, which gives it a very Chinese feel.
7. Fairmont Wuhan, which opened not long ago, has put a lot of effort into the quality of restaurant ingredients, which is most evident in the all-day restaurant "Café CBD". The restaurant is vibrant and elegant, like an old Parisian food market. All meat here is freshly airlifted, and it takes no more than three days from the place of origin to the kitchen of Fairmont Wuhan.
8. In terms of dishes, you can not only eat high-quality Canadian prawns and crayfish, but also big lobsters! The braised prawns are really a star dish. The prawns are Boston lobsters weighing about 600 grams. They are currently available in unlimited quantities during the dinner buffet, which is very generous. The specialty restaurant "1907 Restaurant & Bar" located on the second floor above the all-day restaurant is a complex restaurant. The first half of the entrance is basically a bar, and there is a steakhouse inside. The bar is designed with the theme of ice and fire. The fire is the red furniture and seats, and the ice is the decorative treatment of ice cracks on the countertop, creating a collision of cold and warm, and a modern and vibrant atmosphere. The bar's glass wine cabinet is beautiful, filled with all kinds of whiskey and other drinks; there are also professional sommeliers, DJs and wine cabinets; this has become a new choice for Wuhan's nightlife, very suitable for nearby white-collar workers to come for a drink after get off work.
9. The guest room part is still based on black and white. The area of the guest room starts from 52 square meters, which can be said to be quite spacious. The room layout is good, with a Chinese-style entrance hall as soon as you enter the room. Because many hotels can be seen through at a glance when the door is opened, in the Chinese concept, this is not a good thing. After we entered, we saw a entrance hall door. On the left is the walk-in closet and dressing room, and on the right is the bathroom space. The entrance hall door can be folded and closed, which can well separate the bedroom area, and each space is independent. The wallpaper on the bedroom background wall is very special. It has a rice paper effect, with bumps, textures and layers, which highlights the texture.
