This place looks like it was carefully carved by nature with a sharp chisel. 120 canyons of various shapes meander across the Loess Plateau, so spectacular that one can't take their eyes away. Walking into the canyon, it feels like stepping into a magical world of light and shadow. The sunlight shines obliquely through the narrow gap above the head, jumping and flowing on the rock walls of various shapes. The originally gray rock walls, under the outline of light, show rich colors and unique textures, some like waves, some like whirlpools. Compared with the Antelope Canyon in the United States, it is in no way inferior and deserves the reputation of "The World's Living Danxia, ​​China's Dream Valley". Walking slowly along the path in the canyon, lightly touching the cold rock walls with your fingertips, you can feel the traces left by millions of years. The only sounds in my ears were the gurgling water and my own footsteps. That quietness made my heart calm as well. In order to be able to enter the Ganquan Grand Canyon calmly the next morning, we stayed at Fengmei Boutique B&B not far from the entrance of the Ganquan Grand Canyon Scenic Area. It is a cave B&B on the Loess Plateau. The courtyard is spacious and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The owner is very enthusiastic and also provides delicious meals. We ordered dinner at the B&B. The local specialties cooked by the owner were delicious. In the morning, they also provide a simple farm breakfast (¥10/person). The owner can accompany you on a guided tour into the unopened canyon (¥100). He is also a photography expert who will constantly help everyone with posing and taking photos.
