Trip to Taiyuan, China 🇨🇳
It was a trip to Taiyuan, China 🇨🇳 When we visited Taiyuan, we were surprised by the city’s rich history and mix of ancient temples, traditional architecture, and modern cityscapes 💯 Whether you love capturing cultural landmarks or scenic landscapes, Taiyuan has plenty of fantastic spots for photography 📸 The best time to visit is early morning (8:00–10:00 AM) for soft lighting ☀️ or late afternoon (4:30–6:30 PM) for a warm golden glow ✨
Our first stop was Jinci Temple, one of Taiyuan’s most famous historical sites. As we explored, we found that the Hall of the Holy Mother, with its beautifully preserved wooden 🪵 structures and intricate carvings, was the perfect spot for photos 📸 The ancient cypress trees and stone bridges also create a peaceful and timeless atmosphere. We recommend visiting in the morning ☀️ for soft lighting and fewer crowds ✨
📍Jinci Scenic Area, Jinci Town, Taiyuan, Shanxi, China
We also explored the Twin Pagoda Temple, known for its two towering pagodas that dominate the skyline. The best photo 📸 angle is from the courtyard, where you can capture both pagodas standing symmetrically against the sky ⛅️ If you visit during sunset, the golden light creates a breathtaking contrast with the dark brickwork of the pagodas.
📍50 Shuangta East Street, Yingze District, Taiyuan, Shanxi, China
For a more modern side of Taiyuan, we visited the Fenhe River Scenic Area. The riverside is perfect for capturing reflections of the city skyline, especially in the evening when the bridges and buildings light up ✨ We highly recommend taking long-exposure shots of the illuminated bridges to create stunning night photography 📸
📍Fenhe Park, Xinghualing District, Taiyuan, Shanxi, China
If you love photographing ancient Chinese artifacts and grand architecture, Shanxi Museum is a must-visit 🙌 The museum’s bronze sculptures, ancient pottery, and detailed murals make for fantastic close-up shots. The building itself, with its traditional Shanxi-style roof and courtyards, looks stunning in wide-angle photos, especially in the early morning light ☀️
📍13 Binhe West Road, Xinghualing District, Taiyuan, Shanxi, China
Taiyuan is a city full of history, culture, and beautiful landscapes. Whether you’re capturing ancient temples, scenic riversides, or the modern city at night, there’s no shortage of incredible photo opportunities 🙌🙌🙌
