Wugong Temple is located in Qiongshan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. It was founded during the Song Dynasty and is the most ancient, largest, and richest in cultural relics among the classical temple garden architectural complexes in Hainan. It is also the birthplace of Hainan's culture of banishment. The Wugong Temple complex is rigorously constructed, neatly arranged, hierarchically distinct, and solemn and majestic. The buildings inside include Wugong Temple, Xuepu Hall, Guanjia Hall, West Chamber, East Chamber, Sugong Temple, Liangfubo Temple, Jiongzhuo Pavilion, Fususu Spring, Susu Pavilion, Xixin Pavilion, Qiong Garden, and others.

In gratitude for his great achievements, the people of Hainan established the Su Gong Temple to commemorate him. The place where Su Dongpo 'pointed out the spring' is known as 'Hainan's First Spring'. The Wugong Temple was built in the 5th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1889) to commemorate the five famous ministers, generals, and ministers who were demoted to Hainan during the Tang and Song Dynasties.
