Best Things to DoNo.1 of Best Things to Do in Northern Bruce Peninsula
Vase Island is about 6 kilometers north of Tobermory. You need to take a speedboat or a double-glass bottom sightseeing boat from Tobermory Pier. The price of the two is about the same. The speedboat takes about 10 minutes to arrive, and the glass-bottom boat takes about 40 minutes, but the water bottom can be seen directly in the cabin, which is quite special. There are two boulders that look like vases on the island. They were formed in the Ice Age in ancient times. Because of the movement of the tectonic plates, they stick out of the water. The boulders are one big and one small, and the landscape is very strange. There is a hiking trail around the island. It takes about an hour and a half to walk around the island. Along the way, you can see boulders, grottoes and lighthouses, including almost all the scenery on Vase Island. If you don't camp on the island, you can visit Vase Island in two or three hours.
